Snoqualmie 09-10

need a lot more snow to make the in run to the road gap possible. if it happens though it would be sick. if you follow that trail for a while it looks like there is another good road gap spot but ive only seen it from a distance. id be down to explore next time we get a little snow

ya we definantly need more snow. one of the Xcrounty skiers was telling us that there was some sick places to build a jump father down the trail but we never went father down there. anyone know if there is any sick jump spots?

i got some really good shots of everyone up there today really... or that i was skiing with

i'll be up there tomorrow and filming

a friend of mine asked park crew when they are going to put up the 2 biggest jumps next to the pipe and they said they wont put them up unless they get a shitload of snow. they might just put really big jibs up instead. soo gay

don't know which park crew guy your friend talked to but i talked to kevin turner and he said they are going to take all the snow that they can and try to get them up this week. also said that the second one should be around 50 ft

The parks Facebook says they are going to attempt to get the big jumps up by next weekend. I'm guessing its bullshit but it came from someone on the crew so maybe they will give it a shot.

the park crew have been messin with the big jumps forever, there is hardly any snow and at the end of the day there is a creek underneath the second booter

a snow cat ran into a flag pole at 1 am

Stevens had a bigger jump up on the first day of the year than Snoqualmie has put up through all of this season.

Time for some real jumps. Until then, I'm headed to Stevens.

thats where i have always skied, thats where my friends ski, its close to Seattle, and It just has that home mountain feel.

i do happen to love Stevens though.

reasons i ski at snoqualmie:

1. i grew up skiing at west. yeee!

2. it's so close to seattle

3. highway 2 is the epitome of treacherous

4. it's cheap

5. it's generally got a solid park up by now

6. the vast majority of my friends ski at snoqualmie

i do concede that stevens has a better park, but unless i get a pass (which i'm seriously considering for next year, doubtful it'll actually happen) it's 60 bucks for a day of skiing.

why do you have to get up at 5:30 then? it only takes me an hour and a half to get to stevens from issaquah
