Snoqualmie 09-10

why waste time trying to build a tiny jump that you will likely get extremely bored with after about 45 minutes when you could be useing the lifts and actually be skiing...park isnt the only thing to skiing.

after running around for 2 hrs trying to find out where to get my employee pass it was already 4, central was closing, so i decided to build a small jump, rather than driving to west. as you can see it was dark when the pic was taken.

Alpy opening day yesterday, chair 2 opened at like 10:30 and only Edelweiss was open, but if you traversed into the deeper part of the bowl you got untracked knee deep that was very very light.

Yeah, snow wasn't too shabby up top. haha

On the lower half though, I couldn't wait til the hard snow turned into slush... Much nicer around 1:00. haha

Yeah lower was terrible, couldnt see and it was very exposed. Central had some good little fun knolls and a little step up that was natural just as you went into the park, lets just say hand drag 3's off of that were very fun.

i built a pretty weak ass jump at west off to the left yesterday i dont know if its still there but seeing as my day pass ended at 5 i just skiid it till aroun 6:30...so i guess i got my moneys worth out of the day

i went up to day and skiied central. it was pretty rad given the terrible conditions. a lot of exposed cliffs and rocks if you like that kind of stuff. i bagged a couple of nice cliffs myself. cant wait till they open the park!

There is this place right next to it called Alpental, you may have heard of it.

Seriously though, there are a lot of people that ride only park.

i wasnt aware of any kids from "snocompton" active on this website in general. Snocompton was made up by a select few group of people, and now every claims it like its the official name for snoqualmie.

NWA, Dr Dre, West Coast you know all in the Early 90's. And you know how there was a generation before us that rode up there? And listened to "Straight Outta Compton", it wasn't long before people started calling it that. Just because someone made a pistol sticker that said snocompton on it doesn't mean they were the first to say it. People have been calling it that for years.

friday was awesome, so many hits, the little kicker before berlin wall was sick, the rollers were fun, cattrack gap was sketchy but dope, my friends built a nice little backflip jump out of the pipe too. snow was exelent spring snow.

saturday was a different story, headed over to alpy where suprisingly everything was open except for adrenilen felsen and snake dance. lower nash was full of avy debri which was interesting to ski. also skied schlucdt which was nice and icy... the fan looked unbelivably sketchy, and what was most incredible was that the entrance to nash was completly free of rocks, best i've ever seen it

The cold snap made Central into an ice rink. Pretty brutal up there, but they've got platforms pushed up top for some jib. I'd imagine they will be up by this weekend.

Krush and Think Thank were over at West. They wouldn't let me join their session. Oh well.

Dude, what are you doing at central? Summit west is where it's at! West has the best backcountry. And there's a goat that lives there and grows his own pot. Or so I'm told...

Is it gonna be worth going up this weekend? Went up on Wed. and it was too damn icy. I saw they had the blowers out though. Has it gotten any better?

it was firm cord in the morning with bluebird. afternoon was icy and cloudy. may be nice cord again tomorrow morning. park setup is new c box at the top then either a line of a frame down bar weird a frame box or a line of up dancefloor down box lift tower. then there was a stall at the end of both. its pretty fun just might be icy
