Snoqualmie 08-09

is this for sure central's last weekend?

what style+eeze said is true, but i also heard that alpy might be open for awhile, anybody want to educate me?

mmm true.... but if you look at the weather its supposed to be warm, which means melted snow. id be surprised to see it go longer than this weekend, but id be happy as fuck

i concur

my bro did it last year with some friends, i was out of town, it ended up being pretty legit.

except use snoqualmie's jibs! they leave em out! you just have to set them up yourself

Where would I find the best conditions this weekend, snoqualmie, white pass, or mt hood. hoping for a couple more days of skiing before the lifts shut down

So does anyone have some info on east? I was going to Ellensburg today for a percussion thing and I noticed that almost all of the towers had been removed. There were one or two towards the bottom of the hill but that was it. All the lift cable and chairs were gone as well. I think its kind of weird that they are trying to clean it up before the snow has melted. It seems like it would be much more difficult/ more expensive to do unless they were planning on putting a new lift or the silver fir triple in this summer.

they took down the poles and chairs while there is still snow because its easier to hall those huge towers down by sliding them down on the snow... and yes the silver fir triple is suppose to go in this summer

was a fun day today but i was still pissed on how they fucked up the park at the top by taking out the step up and leaving a bunch of boxes on the side not even set up

Haha I might have seen you. On Friday when I left the gym there was a horde of like HS band kids coming into the SURC. I didn't know wtf was going on but like HS'ers were all over the campus for a while.

^Yeah there were so many HS kids there, I'm guessing there were around 1,000 of us there, from all over Washington. Parking was a PITA and we got stuck way off in the corner of the lot. Its a music competition called "solo and ensemble", first we had to win a local competition before we could go to the state one and get our asses handed to us by the people who actually practiced. Still fun though, I also did it two years ago and I had a great time.

We were only up for a couple of hours this morning, it got too crowded for us again. But a fun day nevertheless. The piggy sticks held up fine on their 2nd day in the park (my homebuilts) and I tried out my helmet cam today, worked great!

haha^

yesterday was hella fun... got some sick jibbing in then swiched it up to the bents for some mellow slush riding... such a fun closing day. it got crowded for a bit but then it emptied out.

" Great news snowfans! Alpental will re-open this Saturday and Sunday, May 2nd & 3rd! We're also once again celebrating Cinco de Mayo on the slopes, so make plans to say adios to another great season on Alpental's last day of operations, Tuesday, May 5th. More details on the fiesta coming soon. "

From their site..

$5 tickets would be nice....
