Richard Monroe says he can barely talk or move. His nose is broken, his face is swollen. He says he can only see out of his right eye.
"I'm in pain. I haven't been like this in pain ever," he said Monday.
This after he says he was viciously attacked on stage at a Snoop Dog concert.
"They ran up to me and started smacking me, one security guard and then the whole entourage, everybody that was performing beat me, stomping me, hitting me with microphones, bottles," Monroe says.
L.A. rapper Snoop Dog opened the season at White River Amphitheatre with a concert Saturday night.
As one of Snoop Dogg's most loyal fans, Monroe was excited about the show.
KING
Richard Monroe's face is badly swollen from the beating.
He said when Snoop invited fans onto the stage he jumped up there. But friends say that's when things went wrong.
"For a minute, he was cool, dancing singing back to back, next Snoop backed up (and) a security guard hit him.
"They took my diamond earrings out of my ear, cell phone and wallet," Monroe said.
Monroe claims security guards stood by and did nothing to stop the attack.
And apparently, some people in the audience weren't sure if the brawl was part of the show.
"I don't understand how somebody gets hit with a microphone, hit with bottles, how is that an act?" he said.
No longer a Snoop Dog fan, Monroe fears those who still are may become another victim.
"I can't let this go on because they can do this to somebody else," he said.
