^ allows people (ie mods or ppl in red I am guessing) to make a thread remain at the top of the forum. So you can post a thread on say forum rules, or advice for newbs and it stays at the top. You could also use it to say have an X Games thread at the top of the forum for the duration of X Games...

Yes there will still be icons, and your post count will be carried over.

When the forums are released each page will show more than 5 threads. It's currently set to 5 so I can test going from page to page.

In terms of the layout and colours i think it should stay exactly how it is, i also dont like the quote thing at all, also you should not be able to reply from the top of the thread or else most people wont even read the thread. other then that its the bomdigity. thats my two cents.

im not a fan at all. reminds me of freeskiing.com and i hate that.

i love the look of the NS forum. just a couple minors additions and it would be perfect.

im not a fan of the generic forums and this looks like one of em

maybe have a NS poll on the subject just to see where people are on the issue?

ex. make a news story on the front pages with the pics u put in here and at the bottom add a poll. no comments though

The look isn't gonna change people... he's just adding some features that are gonna be really helpful and make the site organized better. I also hope that he'll make changes to how the whole site works underneath (kinda like the frames or w/e, im having a hard time thinking of the word, but its how the site works instead of how it looks if you understand what i mean). Other than that I don't think the other changes are really a big deal.

I like how it looks now with each thread title only taking up one line - you can scan through a lot of threads at once. The 'last post by' bit spreads everything out, it will take a lot more scrolling.

I would do this for the date:

Feb 09, 2004

If you don't know what the title attribute does, it should show 'by NoPoles' in a little beige box when you put your mouse over the date.

 
I also really like the last post: 1 minute ago, 2 minutes ago, 1 hour or whatever, please keep that!

Will pink/red/green names show up under 'creator' and beside each post in a thread, or will they all be blue? And what is that orange * for anyway?

I like the current one but that one is pretty cool. Just dont add a ton of extra annoying features like other forums have. keep it simple.

Tis is perfect the two features that I was used too on other forums such as Quote feature and seing the who the last person to post is are two features that I really wanted.
