^yeah look at snowboarding 5 yrs ago and its still snowboarding. look at skiing 5 yrs ago and its moguls, Jonny mosely, and big air comps on nnon-twintip skis(won with like rodeo 5's and cadides underflip)

RIGHT! Freeskiing is younger than snowboarding! Snowboarding is more progressed than skiing most definitly. Look at their trends and how they most of the time come into skiing a year later, like nosepresses on urban rails. I still believe they are further along hte line.

hmmm nah snowboarding has died i mean a while back there used to be over 200 snowboarding companys now only a few more than 20 remain i must say snowboarding is dying and that skiing is becoming more popular by the year and also that so many ski companys are taking off and becoming huge but im not seeing that with snowboarding so yeah snowboarding isnt becoming near as popular as skiing and skiing will always remain bigger than snowboarding.........

io think skiing is just on the brink of spilling into the mainstream. I remember two year ago i would turn on the TV and see nothing about freeskiing at all, now i see something about it every other time i turn it on, if you now where to look. a few ppl around my school that dont ski now what armada and line are. give freeskiing another year and we will be in the mainstream. no more being ignored by ESPN and other companies. Hopefully we will even have a decent video game. nothing against Jibberish cuz i love that game.

Andy Finch's run was pretty sweet, coming from 5th to 2nd and going huge. But of course the skiers boost higher, and kick from above the spot the snowboarders are starting, i can't wait for tommorrow night.

i think skiing halfpipe has gone beyond boarding, i think amplitude and style is a lot better, but overall boarding is still ahead of us

Skiing still has a ways to go to catch up to snowboarding. How many skiers throw switch tricks back to back in the pipe? How many skiers do back to back 10's, or back to back 9' or even 7's. Not many. We still have a ways to go, but were getting there for sure.

 
the difficulty of linking switch tricks with good amplitude in the pipe is a huge handicap for skiing. but once a few pros master it, skier superpipe will be the most technical shit

All I have to say is I'm glad that the 2nd and 3rd place boarders in the superpipe actually got some credit for throwing some stylish tricks instead of hucking some 10s and flailing like they're bungee jumping. Fucking 'spin to win' is such bullshit.
