I thought i'd let you guys know that kyle (snapjibber) was admitted into Washington County hospital last night after a nasty spill skiing the fresh pow that fell yesterday at whitetail. From what i understand, he seems to have broken ribs, and possibly had a collapsed lung at the time of the accident, where he was also knocked out. He will be in the hospital probably until the end of the week.

I'll post any updates on his condition.

well for those of you who dont knwo where we ride, its pa. and powder here is like 7 inches, and theres not really anywhere to ride it. im guessing he was just riding in the trees which is pretty much crowded as shit.

Alright, well, he's in intensive care as of now. From what his dad told me, he's doing a LOT better today that he was last night, so things are looking pretty good. He has broken some ribs, and fractured others, but the most worrisome is a ruptured lung, and also he may have damaged his spleen and liver in some way.

keep this guy in your thoughts.

alright, heres the update for today

He'll hoefully be out of 'aggressive care' in 2 days or so, and be able to have visitors by the weekend. What they are worried about right now is internal bleeding from his liver. Once it stops, hopefully on its own, the tube will be taken out of his lung to test it, and he'll be doing much better.

For now though, his recovery is hindered by the bleeding from his liver.

Good news!

Kyle is now out of the intensive care unit, and instead has been placed in a room in the senior citizen's area (they didnt have any other beds). his liver is slowly letting up on the bleeding, and he's doing well.

His dad said that he's now laughing, and is in less pain than before.

yeah hes doing much better..it seems that basically what happened is that on the last run of the day, he caught an edge, and went off the slope.... but he is definately doing better now...

alright, i went to see him today. He's doing much better, the tube draining his chest is out, and his liver has basically stopped bleeding. He has virutally no bruises on his body, except for his thumbs (go figure..). The only thing as of now thats really keeping him the the hospital is that his hemoglobin count is pretty low (7.7, 70 requires a transfusion) so they are waiting for that to come back up before they make their next decision....

oh, and call him, he's bored.

he's going to be out of the hospital by mid next week (hopefully) he just has to do a bit of rehab....

again, call him, hes bored, but he cant answer the phone, all he can do is check his messages...for now, unless he gets moved onto another floor...

Well,

Im back. yes it happened when i caught an edge trying to stop and i flew off the side of the trail. i made out with 1 punctured liver, 1 collapsed lung, and 7 broken ribs. i cant do anything for the rest of the summer which pretty much means i cant play football. ill be in bed for at least another 2 weeks and cant do anything outside for 2 months. the only good thing is, ill be jacked up on vicodin for 2 months, i have to take 2 pills every 4 hours.
