Snaking noobs. what would you do?

is it morally acceptable to snake a noob if they obviously dont have enough speed to make the landing? Like sometimes a bunch of noob snowboarders will sit too close to a jump to get enough speed and I wait farther up the hill where i can get enough speed but they just go whenever. So i have to snake them. But they are going to case the jump anyways. So...

i sort of feel like if your not clearing the jump you really shouldnt be hitting it in the first place.

that is fine, just holler or soemthing when your dropping so u dont make them crash or they dont get in your way.

just wait...stuff happens when you aint patient....thats wat i would d is wait then go.....i hate kids that just getr to the drop in and cut everyone and hit the jump...that pisses me off

I can't think of two seperate times at PC where i was going off the jump at the same time as some noob going off the jump and landing on the backside of the wedge. Its kind of fun.

Yeah man just call your drop, it makes it safer for everyone. If you don't call your drop and you are not showing proper park etiquette, noobs have no reason to respect you in the first place, so they are more likely to be a problem for you.

I know exactly what your talking about, if I call the drop and they go anyway, I will definitely try to hit the feature, obviously if there too close I will pull up, but most times I can avoid them and do my trick.

Yup. Call you drop, if they still go, then educate them and maybe point them towards a smaller feature that they can properly hit.

NS is getting so cool now. Three years ago this thread would be filled with "Snake that fag, gay homo"

Glad to see the community coming together a little more. :-)

as the folks above have said, Call your drop and if it continues to be a problem, go over and kindly explain yourself to them. If that continues, as terrible as this may seem, get a ski patroller. It may seem a little bit too much but my buddies that ski patrol have told me the number one reason people get hurt in terrain parks is because they're not using the features safely or properly. then you're not only getting these rats out of your park, you're keeping it safe for everyone else.

go skiing!

yeah man you should do it, like if they are reaally far away just scream when you are gettin near them and if they bitch about it explain them what they should do.... it happend to me this year a few tmes i just went by them and then they would get like half way of the jump and start bitchin to me, i just told them they need to look up before they go and also go hit the jumps that you cand o and don't try to hit the biggest one if you are a noob

ALWAYS SNAKE PEOPLE WAITING OR SITTING. they are fucking up the flow of the park, they should be looking up hill and waiting for people who are actually skiing to roll through then go between the people actually lapping. you should never stop in a terrain park, just keep movin keep slayin, get in mad extra runs everyday, have way more fun

think about the first time you ever hit a feature you might not have cleared it but now you can because you tried it. If everyone thought how you think now how would we progress in the sport

Word, I remember at camp with you and nick and duhamels and shit we would snake the balls out of everyone at the rail line because they were just sitting there.

I hate waiting, but I will always make it well known that I am DROPPING!!! My theory is that some people are sitting around because they are scared, so ski through (safe as you can) and show them they have nothing to be afraid of. Well, maybe they do : )

the worst is when a noob goes in front of you and falls but you cant tell if they are off the landing or not, ive like almost landed on noobs before

As long as ur better than the ppl u snake they wont give u crap for it. But if u fall or suck prepare to get hell.

since my music is blasting i cant hear shit so i just kind of make eye contact and go

if you wanna go, go before me. if not,im going.

yah that happens alot to me it makes me very angry

where i ski the only thing about calling a drop is that most of the people tha are getting in the way are small children and there parents so if you call afdrop they just look at you and keep skiing but it is the beast way to let people know where you are

snaking people is lame no matter who it is or how good you or they are, imho. everyone has to start somewhere so just chill out and give respect to everyone, then expect the same in return.

^wat the fuck, just cause you go to camp doesnt mean your rich. and i remember them snaking and i didnt really care cause they rarely crashed did sick stuff.

1. Let them go and laugh when they come up short

2. Call your "drop"

3. Bust a 1080 over the noob (who will most likely still be stuck on the transition trying to get this busted ski on)

4. Ride out smooth

Yea it does, how many kids can afford a 2k ski camp plus flight?  Not many, except for well off ones.  If skiing did matter that much to you, you could easily live in Summit County/Utah for 2 months on the same money.

calling drops is clutch, but if i'm in the middle of actually hitting things and noobs try to pull some trick shit I got no problem snaking them, just make sure they know you're snaking them so that you don't risk colliding in the air or something. but if they don't recognized you're called drop they shouldn't be allowed in the park anyway.

Some days at my hill it gets so busy that people are literally continually dropping in for the first table. There have been so many times that I've been going off a jump with one, or even two little kids. Shit gets crazy.

ive been to camp a few times. im not even close to rich. always having relatives or close family freinds pay for it. and who the fuck are you to say that the kids at camp didnt work their ass off for the rest of the year to go there.

furthermore, why are you hating on rich kids. Good for them, they are lucky
