Smuggs or Stowe?

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want a sick park stay away from Stowe, Smuggs, and Jay. Out of the three Stowe is the best park, but that is not saying much.

If you want sick tree skiing and steeps then all three are pretty damn fun. Smuggs has super slow lifts, but their woods and back bowls are epic.
 
THE ONLY REASON U ALL THINK SMUGGS SUCKS IS BECAUSE U DONT KNOW WHERE TO SKI IT... backbowls, and offtrail woods are better than jay, and our park is lapable on a t-bar. Skiing at smuggs every weekend for the last few years has made me the skier i am and Im proud to say MOUNTAINS OF ADVENTURE! MOUNTAINS OF FUN! SMUGGLER'S NOTCH!
 
For all those bashing Smuggs, I thank you. That means there will be less people to ski around when I'm there. And if anyone actually listens to eastARdumbass, pull your heads out of your asses.

who cares who i am, the place is dope, and an upside to faster lifts is less people on the slopes, and slower reaction time for skipatrol to getcha!
 
i decided to bump this thread because i wanted to find out how smuggs was for opening day... coverage? any features set up maybe a box or rail?
 
i skied smuggs today and it was sick, two+ foot powder drift everywhere, almost everything on sterling covered, everything got poached and the ski patrollers were right there poaching too. if you know where to go at smuggs its f*cking amazing, if you dont, smoke someone up on the chairlift.
 
smuggs has terrible lifts but the trails and glades are unreal both terrain parks need work but stowes is better

smuggs is deffintly better if you know what lines to drop into off the backbowls if you know where to go you can catch some good runs that are well worht the lift line
 
Smuggs has some of the best terrain on the east coast. Don't let its negatives (slow lifts, minimal park action) obscure your vision. You don't know what you're talking about.
 
smuggs hired a full time park maintenence guy for this year. they got some new boxes and shit. they are planning on stepping up the park a lot this year. theyve been improving their shit a little bit every year in fact. when i get back home were gonna be skiing there a whole shitton and ill be sure to post up some video of smuggs' awesomeness. for the meantime. this is smuggs opening day back on nov 25h. have fun with this eastar5 while you still claim smuggs sucks....bitch
