Ok Ive decided to bite the bullet and pay..Even though I know camp is worth it after last year. Im just curious to see what other peoples reaction to this camp were. I met a few people last year that seemed really nice-inteligent-and energetic about skiing for sms and I thought thats the place I want to learn at..Ive read other posts but the evidence to support my theory that sms is one of the better learning oriented camps is not substantiated. If you could be so kind as to tell me who are the best coaches for certain things or how and what you learned over your week there that be great as Ide love to hear it. I dont care really whos going to camp I just want to know if you had a good/positive experience there and why...thanks to any who respond.

Hey, SMS is the shit. John Smart and Mike D run a great show. I learned what I wanted to and on my own pace. The coaches are great (except maybe Vinnie- nothing against him or anything). And its always a great group of people. And, if youre lucky enough, youll spend time with the Ryersons....have mercy on your soul. The terrain is good, and it is improved this year from what John was telling me. Mike D can teach you anything. Iannick B is sick and a great teacher. Andrea is cool as hell and a great coach and Smelly Nesbitt is great too. Sarah was super helpful on the trampoline and waterramps but unfortunately I didnt get to have her as a coach. Also, if you spend some time on the waterramps and tramp, Fred is an incredible instructor.

Enjoy it.

sms is a fuckin great camp, perfect for learning shit and building confidence.. it's too chill

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.

'What time is it?.. Saturday?

yeah, fred was awsome, he can break down EVERY trick and put it into terms that even the biggest moron could understand. he coaches on the tramps and water ramps. If your doin anything wrong, he can spot it and tell you how to fix it. i found that Iannick (sp?) to be the most helpful. he was a super nice guy too. i think Douglas was ok. he is so old though, hes kinda hard to hang with. If i could go to any camp this summer, it would prolly be high north though, cause thier shit was sweet. they had way more jumps, a nicer Qp, and some awsome rails and jibs. Stereo too. ah, what i would do to hit the rasta box! Awsome coaches as well their. dont pick a certain camp just to meet pros thought, cause chances are you'll meet most of um anyway.

Lets go skiing

Yeah Im not really into meeting the pros...they are cool and all and super good skiiers...but people start putting them on godlike status here and well it gets kinda ridiculous...they are people too you know with feelings and shit. Oh well thats a lost cause to argue on here... Sounds like sms should be a great experience this summer I really want to learn what I can and just take it day to day. Im motivated but not super confident yet so I guess sms was a good choice...

man, id still go to high north if i were you, way cooler setup. SMS's park is mostly moguls. if you wanna do that, go thier, but if you wanna hit a sweet park, go to hn. Windells would prolly be the best one, but its more cash.

Lets go skiing

if you have goals and things you want to accomplish sms is def the way to go - super learning oriented and still SO much fun.

Jess's life is cool. Not a joke. And she does EVERYTHING like it's her J O B.
