A Tribe Called Quest

De La Soul

Jurassic 5

And I've heard that Pharcyde should be on the list too... and I'm down with more energetic stuff too as long as they aren't talking about forties, blunts and bitches... stuff like Lords of the Underground is good.

Any suggestions?

Some more cds (or intensive downloading) will lead you to some Jazzmatazz by Guru, the cds are real good. Its jazz and hip hop 'fused together'. digable planets.. they're real mellow, and feature guru on some tracks. also, i don't know if u've ever listened to them, but the beta band are just about the greatest band i've ever heard, in any genre of music. if u wanna try some songs out, check out 'the hard one', 'inner meet me'.. that goes out to anybody. for genre bending folktronica give them a listen.
