So i was at tyrol last night. (all green set-up, name is danny feel free to say whats up) What is up with everyone and their dog smoking cigs? This isnt a smoking is bad for you thread because i am sure everyone here knows the consequences.

I didnt see many skiers who were smoking but a ton of boarders were.

One of the reasons i go skiing is to be outside and get fresh air and thats kinda tough when your in a lift line or waiting for a feature and your bombarded by tons of smoke. Go by the firepits or go someplace not where its crowded please.

Just wondering what all your thoughts were on this subject.

come to troll as the boarders say buy a lift ticket and get a free cig! no seriously troll by far is so bad with the smoking problem and drinking is just as bad

the only kids I see smoking at hyland are like 15 and probably smoke cause its the only time they are away from their parents and they throw out this 'yea i know i am smoking and sitting at the top of a flat box what are you going to do about it ranger' look. Hylands probably has among the highest police per skier ratio of absolutely anywhere, unless your like at mt hood and there is a rescue but I think it has been a few years since we lost someone trying to summit Mount Hyland.

first off word i was there too(ozone jacket, green saga pants) and i agree that it was disgusting how many people were smoking on the hill, i think if area's were to let people smoke(and i dont think they should) there should be designated place where they can all smoke, so that they can have their cig's, and we can have our fresh air

Thats what pisses me off. If your 18 and smoking, alright, your cigarette bothers me just as badly as your "FRESH" shades, and jacket. I'm not going to ask you to take off your jacket.

I only smoke because I dont know what to do with my hands, but really I dont smoke, and its not a good habit, alot of ski areas seem to ban it though, which is nice

I wouldn't want to chill with a roach... that would be no fun. Maybe if it wasn't entirely roach, then we would be talkin...

Who doesn't like to smoke on the mountain, call me a sinner but there's nothing more natural than lighting something up and enjoying the sweet goodness that is waiting to be had. Although, skiing is a high in itself, so I don't want to have to smell your smoke!
