Smokers who've had Covid

Had covid back in March so I quit smoking for a bit (talking cigs not just bud) and had a 3ish month period of my lungs recovering. I've quit smoking a couple times and had that couple week period of lungs recovering where breathing gets pretty laborious - but post-covid that couple week period has gotten longer. Picked smoking back up for about a month and a half after like a five month break, and even now after a short stint of smoking it's back to at least a month's time recovery

Wondering who else is In the same boat or has something similar

Please don't give me that "quit smoking" noise

nicotine is bad

Nicotine is no worse than caffeine, its the way it gets in the system is what can be bad. Smoking isn't the healthiest method imo.

“smoking isn’t healthy in my opinion” Lmao

I heard over in France they discovered that smokers had a lower chance of catching the Covid and had milder symptoms... Obviously not something they're gonna broadcast/ promote.

I would guess its because the main killer with covid is the "cytokine storm" which is your own immune system overreacting and doing damage, 4 days or so after your highest viral load. I guess if your lungs are already used to smoke and minor infections from smoking, the immune response may not be as high to covid, than someone who has never inhaled anything irritating into their lungs. don't bet your life on my speculation tho

Me too, starting back up on my 80th birthday if I last that long

If you just go ahead and tell me you're 12 everything will make sense to me.

Oh look, a Trump supporter blindly believing posts on a ski forum regarding a global pandemic.... I'm shocked.

Is being called a child by someone who blindly believes everything he reads on a forum an insult or a compliment? Comment below with your thoughts!

Did being born a ginger automatically make you hate the world or was it exacerbated by your uncle touching you when you were younger? Remember, no wrong answers!
