Why does it matter so much if weed is legalized or not? It's not difficult to get at all, and as long as you're smart enough about it, you aren't likely to get caught. Just face it; it is NOT going to be legalized in the USA in any of our lifetimes.

I think it would be better for it to stay illegal to the public, but available for medicinal purposes. If it was made legal, the prices would most likely rocket, as you still wouldn't be allowed to grow it yourself, as with tobbacco. Its not like its hard to get hold of now (as someone said further up), and where i live (England) its now the lowest class of illegal drug, which means we can smoke it without risk of prosecution (bar some circumstances, such as outside schools/under 18's).

if it were legalized it could be put under govt. control and could potentially be a large source of income. Personally i think it would be if it were legalized but doubtful that it will be legalized

it does have more tar then cigs. but i know no stoners that smoke a pack of blunts a day. and in alaska you can have under 4 ounces in your house. but under feral law it is illlegal but they said they wont prosicute. look at canada they legalized it. so who knows it might be closer then we all think.

It will be Decriminalized in the US in the next 15 years. Look at the progress so far. It used to be a felony for any amount, then President Jimmy Carter took the felony charges away for any amount under 1 Ounce, which is a lot of bud. In California and Oregon, if you want to smoke marijuana, all you have to do is go get on the states' medical marijuana plan and get a card that says you can grow and smoke, legally.

Look at all the stuff going on with legalization/decriminalization all around us... Jamaica is making a final vote on whether to legalize, which is expected to be a win for legalization. Canada is loosening its laws rapidly. Even the lonely state of Illinois is voting on legalization for medicinal purposes now. Word, smoke weed, peace

whoever said you dont want the gov to grow it is DUMB... the government can grow shit that was deemed unsmokeable. it was in an issue of hightimes i had. it said the gov grew the weed for madicinal perposes but when they tested teh THC content it was too high for them to give out. so for anyone saying they dont got the shit green is just plain dumb. the government can grow it legal so they can have the most advanced green rooms known to man, they can produce some of th emost potent herbs. Weed will be legal because of you don't have to smoke it. Accuatlly, smoking pot is the worst form of its use. If you really want to get stoned, vaporize or shit or use it in cooking. For 4-20 tomorrow, we are making a shit load of cookies out of pot butter. About an ounce in 10 cups total.
