yes-this was so enlightening. My mother is dying of lung cancer as we speak b/c she smokes. She started when she was 8 and has never quit. Now, what's funny about all this is that she has the best doctors assisting her and they all say - 'Oh no, it's not the smoking that gave her cancer. Toxins in the air from living in NYC & Europe too long. Sure thing-that's what did it. Especially Europe -dirty, polluted air over there, you know.' This from the top Oncologists at Sloan-Kettering. Give me a break. My mom got cancer cuz she smokes. My grandfather smoked until he was 93 and had no problems until the end.

If you're going to smoke -it's your choice. Cigs have been around much longer than all this BS about smoking 10ft from a building b/c you might 'distribute 2nd hand smoke.' That's like saying, 'People who smoke should be rounded up and sent to live on Antarctica where they can smoke in peace.' Meanwhile, while all the smokers are gone, who's next? Addicts? OK-sure, we'll send them to Greenland. No need to have dope dealers and users loitering on our streets, begging for money so they can get a fix. Oh, and BTW, 1 joint has 5X the amount of tar and toxins 1 cigarette has. But, whatever - it's sheva, mother earth created her & she's gorgeous. And, of course,herb's addictive. Any material that contains chemicals -of any kind- can become addicting (not just mentally, but physically as well, whether it's herb or orange juice, people's body's react differently to various chemicals we put in ourselves. Hence, some people become addicted to smoking cigs the first time they try one, while others can socially smoke their whole lives. You don't need a Dr. to tell you this, but, actually, one is..)- Then, all the people who voted for liberals, move here; those who voted for conservatives move there....lame topic, sorry. all i am saying is that i don't need to deal with smoke from smokers... sure they have the right to smoke, go ahead and smoke,its a free country... but when it comes to public enclosed spaces, i think that they should respect our descision of NOT smoking and don't contaminate the air (i don't care about second hand smoking, its the smell that clings to your clothes and the fact that it burns my eyes after a while)

its a metter of respect, we have to respect the smokers descision of smoking, but more often than not they don't respect our descision to not smoke and to not want smoke blown in our faces, reaking up our clothes and burning our eyes...

Yo T-roy, I don't smoke cigs but if you're allowed to hate on people that do smoke them, then I can hate on you for being a racer because I don't do it and I'm not fond of it. Plus skiing on ice everyday probably has a decent chance of killing you, but you did it anyway.

its a free country and its my choice. you know full well if you go to a bar that people are going to be smoking there so if you dont like it you dont have to go, there are no respect issues involved there. you know where people are allowed to smoke and there are options out there to do the same things and not be around smoke most restaraunts have a non-smoking section! you know what situation you are walking into before you go, you have the choice of not to go if you dont like something about it, and you have that choice because it is a free country! if you smoke fine and if you dont good for you yo MAY have a healthier life or you MAY NOT who knows there are so many carcinogens floating around us a little second hand smoke here and there should be the least of your damn worries. just look whats in your drinking water!

Anyway,my grandmother died from smoking.A horrible lung cancer slowly and painfully killed her.Smoker are just too stupid to realise that they are gonna die the same way.
