Smith Prodigy Problems

So I was skiing with my brand new Smith Prodigy goggles today for the 4th time and throughout the day I am noticing that it is getting really hard to see. There is some kind of oily liquid on the lenses and I tried wiping it off the outside, but it didn't work, so I figured it was on the inside and decided to leave it till later because it was snowing pretty bad. I got back later and used a lense cloth to wipe off both side, but then I realized that the oily substance was between the lenses. Perhaps it is some kind of anti fogging treatment from the factory that somehow built up between the lenses? Anyway, I am uber pissed because they are pretty expensive brand new goggles and they are all messed up. Anybody had issues like this or know what to do? (The lenses don't come apart btw) To make things worse, I bought them online and it is going to be a huge hassel if I have to return them.

u could try using a hairdryer to evapourate the liquid through the vents...which is probably how it got in between the lenses in the first place. This kind of thing is fairly common in A-frames too.

usually the shit just evaporates from my a-frames once i go inside the lodge. i've never had any real problems with it before, though- it's only happened a couple times.

smith has a take anything back "with an original receipt" policy just to let you know. They changed their policy to this last year. So give them a call

smith has a lifetime warranty on their goggles now. you don't need an original receipt. i'm sure they would like to see the goggles....make sure you tell them what is going on. they are cool to deal with on things like that.
