Smith I/O Vs. Electric EG2

What do you guys think of them? I'm debating on which ones I want because I'm not really liking my oakley's anymore..

Damn man thanks for the help because I love the whole interchangable lens thing that the I/o 's have goin on and I do wear a helmet so the EG2 's could be an awkward fit

Also what do you think would be good lenses to have for I/O 's. I'm planning on having 2 lenses (One for sunny day/slight overcast and one for nightskiing/overcast) so which 2 do you think would be the best for this?

yeah, definitely I/O's. the brand new eg2's i had just fogged up like crazy ALL the time. I still have yet to have a problem with the i/o's

I've got the sensor and ignitor lens'. I try to use the ignitor more for sunny days but the sensor doesn't disappoint just in case I forget. there both well rounded lens'.

The I/O's for sure. They come with two lenses so whichever one's you get will work great. I have the green sol-x lenses for sunny days and the sensor lenses for overcast days.

woh weird thats just the combo i said. do you get to choose which lens the other is when u order goggles or does it come randomly? i'm confused.

My I/O's fogged like crazy on all 3 lenses I had, so I just sold them to switch BACK to EG2s

PS no im not a dumb ass and fucked up the anti fog

I ordered the red sol x lenses with the white foundation and it came with a red sensor lense. I don't know if I could have chosen a different second lens.

Alright thanks guys. I just ordered some White foundation I/O 's with green sol-x. I wonder what the other lens will be. hopefully sensor. and i got a replacement clear. solid buy

Sometimes the I/O's and the EG2's can fog up randomely for different people. I don't understand because some people never have problems with fogging, and some will go with the other goggle just because one or the other fogged up like crazy.

Smith will always bundle the I/O so that it comes with a low-light lens and a high-light lens. The low-light lens is almost always the Sensor Mirror lens which is definitely a good flat-light option.

Between the EG2 and the I/O, I'd go I/O without even thinking, and I don't even own I/O's myself.

yup yup, just bought some EG2s for $75 shipped this morning
and yea the green sol-x lens and sensor for I/Os are amazing!

I had the EG2s last year. Sold them and bought a pair of smith i/o this year. I like the i/o way better, not as big, fits my face way better, lense swap is unreal. Just an overall great goggle, only fogged on me once but it wasnt for long

other then that, great goggle, definitely keeping it for a while

They just came back up an I snagged a pair. Came to about $100 flat with shipping for me but here in Canada I would be paying double that anyways at a store. I also bought some I/O's today at a local shop, they are super sick. I will probably return them though and wait to see how I like the EG2.

I own both and they both have the same peripheral vision (given that I have a large face) and the only major differences is that the I/O's have less nose presser (less foam) and they have the interchanging lens system which is very helpful. Given that both are around the same price, I'd go I/O
