Smith Fuse lense trouble!

ok, i JUST got in my smith fuse goggles with the red mirror lens. They came in with a little bit o shit on the lens from random things in packaging i guess so i used the black bag thing and it just smeared everywhere. i saw the oakley goggle post... but i'm just wondering how it is for smiths. what should i do? use water then let em dry? i dunno.

Well, buying Smith was your first mistake...but just use the bag, if its on the outside of the lens then using a little bit of water wouldn't hurt it, or if you have any cleaner for glasses, that works well also. Be careful about rubbing alot on the inside of the lens, though.

I dont think that glasses cleaner is bad for goggles...to my knowledge at least. Are your goggles in really bad shape, or is it just a smear here or there?

i haven't even worn em yet! i just took em outa the package and gently wiped the black bag aginst the outside lens and they smeared and it wont come out. now i wanna take out the lenses to try and fix it or somethin. so how do i do that?

first off all smith goggles/glasses are plain out sick. my last 5 pairs of goggles and 2 pairs of glasses have been smith and they are great looking, great warranty, great optics. now for your question, what exactly is it on the lense? some type of glue or liquid from packaging or something else? I have a smith shammy and it works nicely. just blow on them and wipe with non static cloth for starters. if that doesnt work then take soapy water and drip on them and wipe with non static cloth. if that doesnt work you may have to brake out the windex/goggle cleaner

AOE you are the MAN! I sprinkled a little little bit of windex onto the goggle cloth and just wiped it all over the goggles and it makes an incredible difference! not only did the marks go bye bye but they are clear as all...better than right brand new. thanks dude.

don't use soap on the mirror, any cleaning material could start taking it off, like the oldschool iridium that would wipe off if it got wet. just use water and your goggle bag

glad to help. and yeah dont touch the inside because of the anti fog coating. if they get wet just go in the lodge and give em a while

i hated my smiths, they have spots on the inside lens, and fogged a shitload, but i never touched the inside lens
