Smith Code (led to a concussion)

Im pretty concussed so this might not make sense.

Anyways, since November the Code has been my go to helmet. It looks pretty dope imo but it had a noticeable problem. The helmet, no matter how tight you get it tends to ride up on your head. Anytime there was some force like compressing from a drop the helmet would raise slightly. After a few runs I would have to reset it on my head. yesterday i was skiing (first pow day in a while so skiing hard) and there was an unmarked drop. Making some nice turns and what basically looked like a nice mogul tranny sidehit thang was actually a big drop. Hit the catwalk below, compressed and knocked my face. It wasnt a bad hit to my head, mostly absorbed in my legs, but from the compression, the helmet lifted up my head and when i smacked my face it was as if my helmet impacted my head worseing the fall. Anyways this could be just my headshape but the helmet was super comfterble and seemed to fit well. I think the way smith designed the boa makes the helmet prone to rising up your head. I think smith has an issue with the helmet. def would not recomend. A giro with mips is quarter of the price and saves you from feeling like your head is going to explode and mental incapacity.

I use a smith maze (great bucket) with a beanie and that raises alittle only because i don't keep it tight enough on the chin, but i have noticed at least on Cody Townsend's insta stories that is looks like it sits up kinda weird. Also i know a guy who wears one now and he bitched about the magnetic buckle.

So you're blaming smith for you getting a helmet that didn't fit your head?

I addressed this in my previous post. The helmet fits my head great, however, the boa adjustment system leads to lift. This isnt just an issue I epxerienced. I know that slopestyle in breck doesnt carry the helmet for this reason. It is a flaw from smith and not a flaw in fitment.
