Smarter than Albert Einstein

It depends on what you call "smarter". Einstein was very gifted in understanding mathematical concepts that were at the time so far out of the realm of what had been imagined that it was pure genius. If Einstein had never had existed many of the concepts that he pioneered would till this day probably lay undiscovered.

Some say Einstein wasted the second half of his life searching for a unified field theory, till this day nothing has even come close and even with the advent of massive super colliders we are no closer in connecting the macro, micro, and sub atomic worlds of physics.

So ya, there might be some autistic people that can understand math on a very intuitive basis*, but there has not been a genius like Einstein since.

*Math actually takes a very small amount of computational power. Humans are just not wired to understand math. Calculus is not very useful when you are running away from a tiger.

Correction: Lots of people have had a higher IQ than Einstein

People Still Alive

People Dead

(estimates)

[*]190 – Ludwig Wittgenstein

[*]190 – Sir Isaac Newton

[*]190 – François-Marie Arouet (Voltaire)

[*]180 – Leonardo da Vinci

[*]180 – David Hume

[*]180 – Buonarroti Michelangelo

[*]179 – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

[/list]

Just to name a few.

Einstein had an IQ from 160 to 180 on estimate.

loll this looks like some good internet trolling bullshit

Integration by parts is some realy basic math stuff compared to Einstein theory of relativity. If he really hunderstand this integration technique (and he's not just memorising a text) well bravo you learned it 5 years earlier then regular students and cool for you if you have a 170 IQ but after like 2 years of university any 18 year old kid could have done this video (but still congrats if you can do it a 12)... But srsly Einstein theory is just an other level

Let me know when he actually does something. So many of these child prodigies go nowhere. That said, I would love if he ended up disproving the big bang (as the article said he was attempting to do). I'd be more interested in what he would propose in its place though.

I really hate the last line of that article. There is so much evidence for the big bang and to debunk it would take very radical theory, which the writer of this article doesn't even hint at.

I hope this kid makes progress but in general kids with Aspergers can never balance and recede from social interaction all together. It generally happens once they get to the edge of known math, it freaks them out to head into the abyss.

IQ is by no means the only measure of intelligence. Its not as if everyone who has an IQ higher than Einstein would have come up with the theory of relativity etc.

Yeah but he's doing a video where he teach math that are 5-6 years ahead of his age (you learn integration by parts around like 18) thats cool but in the article he's claiming he's making phisic theories that peoples learn when they are usualy much older. There gap between what's in the video and Einstein theories is huge. Here's what prbly happened...

-I'm a 18 year old kid that just learned integration by parts

-teach it quickly to my 12 year old brother

-make a video of the kid

-write a bullshit article

-post evrything on internet

-???

-Profit

Maybe I'm worng but this is more plausible then ''Mega-Mind kid reinvented Einstein theory!!''

What the hell are you smoking, man...

This kid is a verified genius and you think it's a hoax.

-i have a lot of problems with psych, and iq tests is definitely one of the top 3, the concept of intelligence is a hugely debated topic, there are many varying and contradicting (psyc is so fucking ambiguous its ridiculous) theories on it. right now there is no accurate way to measure inteligence. -calculus is easy, at least for me (and lots of ppl on here) and im not a genius, i just have an analytical mind-this kid might have an eidetic memory, doesn't make him smarter than einstein, it just means he remembers everything. studies have shown that this ability doesnt last past your 30's
i want to know what his theories are though, hes obviously very smart, but there is a big leap from being very smart to genius. as someone said earlier, i doubt he could come up with any theories of relativity

There's a 13 year old in my major (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). I had a class with him this semester. He's already been published, freaking insane.

loll sorry but I don't trust evrything I read on internet, big part of it is bullshit and I think this is prossibly bullshit too. He poseted 2 videos where he's teaching some math... one shows a way to see what a simple multiplication is and the other is some basic integration technique... and he showed the basics of this technique, he's not doing some double integration by parts (the kind of thing that will make you solve for exemple ln(x)*cos(x)).... what I saw was impressive for his age but nothing genius like what Einstein did

Thats like as if a 12 yr old kid filmed a super sick edit where he can trow some sick tricks and may be some doubles... but then claims in an article he's better then Tom Wallish.........

I mean... when your 'theories' will be in some science articles or evrywhere in the news I'll be like ''DAMN that kid is a genius hands down'' but untill then.... impressive video but it smells like bullshit

It doesn't matter how smart you are, it matters how much you use your talent to benefit the world.

Lots of kids are smarter than Einstein, but few ever contribute as much to society as he did.

‎"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid".
-Einstein

so much truth in there :)
+ einstein was who he was not because he was smarter than other scientists/thinkers from his time, but because he could think outside of the box...

You guys are idiots. He's a savant so I'm sure he's unbelievable (not a troll). But I'm also positive he didn't learn how to spell his name until he was 9 or something. The ultimate savant:

Google him, you'll find other reports, one in which his parents state that while he was three, he understood why the moons of Mars are not perfectly round without anyone telling him about it, and amazed a group of people in the Smithsonian who heard him lecture the tour guide.

its totally possible.

christopher langan (considered to be one of the smartest people alive and an IQ of around 195- 200 depending on who you believe, which people dont understand how extremely high that is), learned to speak at 6 months, taught himself to read at the age of three, and at the age of 5 argued his grandpa on the existence of God and remembers being disappointed by his answers.

there are people that have IQs so high its hard to even graph them, put IQ doesnt always mean your a genius and are altering the existence of the system or coming up with new theories, or even winning nobel peace prizes.

anybody interested in extremely high IQ's should read about Lewis Terman's the "Termites" experiment in the early to mid 1900's. ive only studied up on it alittle bit but its very interesting.

I took that lesson of Calculus, integration by parts, in engineering and this kid is a GENIUS to be teaching it like it's nothing.

by parts is not that terrible, there are parts of calc that i think are much harder, the hardest part about by parts is just making sure you set it up correctly

This kid is incredible. Just some videos about him. He learned all of HS math in 2 weeks. Then learned grade 6-12 in a year.

Remembers all formulas and believes there is some 4th dimension. Hope he changes the world and defies the laws of physics.

not too sure about the first part. its not like he discovered everything on his own, lorentz and poincare for example laid somewhat a foundation for his works.

obviously it wouldve taken a little longer and maybe einsteins work in 1905 was one of the most productive years by single scientist in history, but by now, someone else wouldve discovered relativity.

What's the point of bumping this?

Also, there is a fourth dimension. There's 11 actually. It's less a belief and more a "widely accepted theory".

I hate the label "genius". It seems really irrelevant and pretentious to me. I mean there are people who have very high IQ's who go on to do nothing with their lives and vice versa.

If there is anything more in the world that I hate then backwards baseball caps it's IQ claims.

"Oh he's smarter then Einstein because his IQ is higher."

A: No, Einstein's IQ is merely an estimate, for he never did a test.

B: A higher IQ doesn't mean a person is smarter. although IQ attempts to measure some notion of intelligence, it may fail to act as an accurate measure of intelligence in its broadest sense. IQ tests only examine particular areas embodied by the broadest notion of intelligence. Which combined with point A makes the claim redundant.

There are lots of people who are as smart as he was. Einstein is not famous for just being smart.

Everything was fine in this thread and then you come in here preaching your vegan bullshit. Give it a break man, nobody cares that you fuck plants

thanks. there are even guys that use IQ test levels accross countries to justify racist theories.

yeah no shit people in africa have a lower IQ on average. they fail to see that education is an important factor in IQ testing, and the social environment in the western world is giving "us" an advantage as well.

IQ is a somewhat arbitrary number that shows how you perform on a standardized set of questions, plus minus 5 points i would say and its comparability accross languages, countries and different socio-economic layers is problematic at best.
