Smart Skiiers?

I think that most skiers are actually a more intelligent demographic, based on for the most part that most skiers are fairly wealthy, educated kids. We just do dumb shit, but we're smart

I would actually love to see/talk/read about what actually goes on behind the scenes of all the partying and antics. Almost like a 30 for 30.

that would be pretty sick to see how Newschoolers really functions and how the everyday business works. It definitely wouldn't be for everyone but it would be interesting to many I bet

I would absolutely read that.

Tom's most recent article about Jake Carney was awesome. Actually, all of Tom's articles about like the best jobs in skiing were sick. It's the stuff a "normal" skier doesn't see or would otherwise have no clue about. It's interesting and not something every ski media outlet is going to be putting out.

I would so be down to read more interviews that aren't just asking skiers what they're doing with their ski career. More interviews like this:https://www.newschoolers.com/news/read/My-Friend-Pro-2670. I read that on my flight home from Whistler and it was fucking hilarious. This kind of stuff is incredible. You get to see a more real side of these dudes. You see people's personalities and it feels like freeskiing.

I know you need a mix of like the clickbait, "look what Candide did this time" kind of articles but damn I would be so stoked on getting to see more of the behind the scenes stuff. I might just be a weirdo but that stuff interests me to no end.

Here's something which addresses some of what you guys are talking about. We did a partnership with Transworld Business and SIA to do "The Sessions at SIA". Its higher-brow chats with industry people about what goes on in the business side of things.

To give you some context as to how this fits into the Crazy shit you saw at SIA:

Partied at the Virtika warehouse until about 7am night before. First meeting was at 11am. I rode around the show on a Mobi doing my meetings, then rode over to the TW Biz booth at about 3pm to start filming these things.

We can definitely do more if this type of a thing performs well, and you guys like it.

That was awesome to see! Thanks for sharing

I feel that park skiers are especially smart in ways that aren't exactly helpful in everyday life. Like how we always find new way to enjoy the park or how ski bums find new and creative way to avoid paying for stuff. And those 2 things alone make us smart but most of all we are creative.

There are actually quite a few very intelligent skiers. Ross Imburgia has developed a prototype ski chair for quadriplegic skiers, Giray Dadali is developing a new touring binding, Tyler Barnes is a doctor, the list can go on.

Bishop said it best. Skiing is entertainment. What you see in photos and videos is almost an alter ego. If you ever get the chance dive into a conversation with a professional skier. You will probably be very surprised with the kinds of things they regularly think and talk about.

Well Andy and the tc crew developed a new deodorant: "Pizza in a smelly sock"

also so my brother got a 30/36 on the ACT and he shreds

what kind of engineer? I'm a junior in HS and currently looking into engineering. Preferably an environmental engineer. I'm not sure though because I like probably everyone on here wants a job that you love so much you never work a day in your life. Can you become a Heli Ski guide for a good part of your life and retire from doing that. I know it takes a lot of work and time just to get to the position of a guide, but it sounds awesome. What about working a Gopro. Does anyone know anything about how to start working there because they would be really cool.

I'm studying for a degree in environmental engineering right now at Clarkson University and if you hate global warming and pollution and want to protect the natural world it's a great field to look into.

PS Wu-Tang forever

Really interesting. I hadn't considered how certain graphics could polarize a consumer base. It would be awesome if you could continue with these.

We only filmed three of them at SIA (next one to drop soon) so for now that is it.

However, I do agree.... these are super cool. Only problem is they get very low viewership. Perhaps they need to be promoted differently?

I loved those videos and hope you guys continue to make them. I never heard of them til this thread so I would try to get the word out there about them. I think the majority of ns would really be interested in these.

Finally got around to watching them. I definitely want to see more videos like this coming out.

Newschoolers seems to glorify dick-sucking front flips... Gus Kenworthy making bank milking the gay claim

I hope this made it obvious why milking the gay claim is the best idea for popularity
