Small Tripod

Anybody have any really small tripod they would suggest. Im going down to new york city this weekend and want to bring something in terms of a tripod, but mine is way to big and I dont want to carry it around in my backpack all day walking around. I know those little ball ones are good but im not sure if they can hold the weight of my 7d and some different lenses. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. thanks

cheap is nice too

relevant to my intrests.. i need a cheap tripod with decent pan/tilt. I already have a great tripod but its too heavy and big for ski filming. I want to give ski filming a shot this year and I'm gonna need a tripod I can take to the hill and put on a bag. If anyone has any ideas let me know!

OP i hope you know that if you actually do this you will be an absolute legend.

plus, since by "hq" he means his parent's house, his mom might be hot and or bake you cookies

and give you a rimjob and or blumpkin

But yea those Vanguard tripods look like shit. What exactly is your budget in exact figures?

threads I'm looking for something lighter than my 190xprob (with 707 fluid head, pretty much chinese cheap version of the manfrotto 701). I ordered this one called a velbon ph368 that I saw on a bunch of reviews on youtube and this blog i follow, but the fluid head on it is just horrible. The legs are decent, but its just plastic and horrible. Now I'm even thinking of just getting a monopod that can fold up and fit in my backpack, then throwing on a smaller fuild head onto it. I'd like those manfrotto fuid monopods, but they don't seem to fold up very small.

lets not let this get into a splice shitstorm like nearly every other thread hes commented on (lol)

how much lighter do you want it and whats your budget, because if you want it to fit inside your backpack then it needs to be tiny.

My backpack is pretty big actually, lol. Also it has a strap on the outside for tripods/monopods (shorter ones) which would be cool to use with a tiny mono/tri pod while doing follow cams Think im leaning more towards monopods since they're thicker and look more durable than the lightweight tripods but I'm open to tripods too. Also, I've seen some monopods that fold up to like a foot longAs far as budget, I cant afford the super expensive carbon fiber stuff, but I don't really know how muhc a good compact tripod/mono is. What are some options out there?

.

oh and sorry for the thread jack op. kind of the same question but still.
