Hey Guys,

I'm currently on my final projet for my masters degree. I'm working for a small startup that is trying to create on online tool to help people find job more efficiently, as well as help head hunters find better candidates for their jobs.

If you guys are/were searching for a job and want to help me out, please fill out this survey:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BG9qCBn2ycBJYKLPmXcO0BoKSA5SfDnP03aaS3qGIB4/viewform?usp=send_form

It's about one minute long!

Much appreciated! I promise to keep swinging any contest vote or anything else for my fellow newschoolers!

If you guys have any questions or comments. Please leave them here.

Thank you!

Survey done. Also, I used to be a recruiter myself. Feel free to PM me with any questions or anything.

$10 is very cheap when it comes to finding a job Linkedin charges a fuck ton to recruiters and job seekers.

Do people do video resumes? I feel like none of the jobs I'd be looking for would do that, but I could be entirely wrong too.I'd also imagine only younger people would even consider using that, either for hiring or for sending out to companies.

what's the whole shpeil on the video resume OP?

Basically, the service that is being designed would offer an interactive video portrait of yourself. What this means is that you would have prerecorded answers to questions (Standard questions and your own created questions). You could link this video to you linkedIn or send it with your resume.

It would also use semantic technology and tags to allow recruiters to search your "interactive video". For example, if they type into a search box "jobs", they would find all the questions you've answered concerning "jobs" without listening to your whole video. Thus saving them time, and allowing you to stand out amongst other candidates.

Some people do video resumes, but not that much and they're are rarely structured or any good.

However, many companies already offer a service (a plateforme) where headhunters ask pre-recoreded questions and candidates answer (when they have the time) on video and send it back.

what kind of shity university would give masters degrees to people who use completely unscientific web surveys?

Mine it would seem!

To be fair, i'm not majoring in Marketing Research. Presently all I need are some general outlines of what people who are looking for jobs are doing. Are they having a hard time, are they willing to pay for help? What we want is to validate (or refute!) some assumptions that are done by the entrepreneur/inventor. We don't need a fancy survey for that. This will not be used to make a scientific graph or to pitch in front of investors. Instead it will give us some general feedback about what people face when job hunting.

This data is also accompanied by telephone interview with professors and people working in the HR departments. This helps us get some qualitative data

Feel free to make some suggestion about the survey though!
