Small stances snowboarding

Are small stances on a snowboard a growing trend or something?

I've seen it a couple times. In this vid a few guys have them.

Yeah it's a MN/East Coast jibber thing... Skinny pant narrow stance rail killers are taking over snowboarding.

Well yeah same with no high backs.. The tow rope and street rail riders in Mn an the east coast have a way more skate influenced style than anyone else.

no highbacks is still incredibly rare to see, but the reason for the skate influence is that most people skate in addition to shredding and winter lasts about 3ish months for most of the east coast...meaning skating skill sets get transferred on hill

Not at all lol I worked on an airbag jump all winter and did probably 200+ one foot flips and learned them to snow in the spring. It's easier because your kick out leg guides the whole flip nd then you just smash your foot to the outside of your binding and down on the stomp pad and ride out.. Literally not Even hard and it makes everyone shit bricks.
