dude not every skier has to be a style skier. I've been a fan of the bunch since day 1 but I love watching taisei throw down crazy spins too. Some skiers are fun to watch for style, others for technicality. I'm pretty sick of the whole new wavers vs new wave hater bullshit that goes on these days, sometimes I feel like I'm the only guy on this site who enjoys watching both crazy tech stuff as well as swervy skiing

I completely agree and feel the same way. In the end it's all park skiing and every aspect of it is hard whether your new wave or creative, a technical comp skier, or got that gangsta steeze it's all enjoyable. That's why I love slvsh so much. You get a bit of all of it out of all 4 years slvsh has been around for.

I disagree about the glass cannon part. I think he's got a versatile skill set and his niche tricks make him fun to watch. You'd think more people would practice sliding rails with their skis at all different angles anyway. Oh and also he did misty 450 Japan first try ever...landing was iffy for sure but it was valiant defence.

As much as I like watching both styles, that game would be won quickly just because Vinny doesn't spin that fast (from what I've seen), and Taisei hasn't shown that creative aspect that Vinny has. It all depends on who gets the set after Trivia Crack rules. The best games are the ones where the skiers have similar styles and tricks.

For example Magnus v Ethan or Hugo v Emil (dif enough?) off the top of my head. Matchups of similar skiers are often awesome too, but watching guys try (and lace) hits they'd never ordinarily do is awesome. This one of Vinny and Oscar, though, was not one of those games.

Looking back at the Magnus v Ethan matchup, they were doing tricks that they were both capable of doing. They built off of each others tricks to do even crazier tricks. That made that really fun to watch even with their different approaches to skiing. The specific case, Taisei v Vinny, is too drastically different in their styles of skiing where it wouldn't be AS entertaining to watch because I don't think they'd be able to build off of each others tricks to push the envelope similarily to what Magnus and Ethan did. Obviously I'd still love to see that game (and maybe we will). If we do see that game, I hope I'm wrong!
