SLVSH

I feel like the problem was that finn was so dam clean on almost all of his tricks its hard to call against that. 4 on back swap continue two was questionable though for sure

That looked like a 4-4 to me.. he got some iffy calls in his favor but at the level of consistency he was displaying I would be surprised if that swayed the result entirely.

First one was a tap for sure, not sure why they gave him that, seen refs give people grabs like max's lead tail tho because he did grab for a split second. I mean this slvsh, reffing has been subjective been since day one.

Love how he says "that was loose I'm calling it loose" or something like that for finn but when Max is loose its an immediate no

There was zero back swap in that trick. Emil fugged up.

Bummed max is out first round. Loved that kids style. Def wanna see more of him.

I’d like to see a “challenge” rule similar to football. If there is a questionable call, the rider can throw up a flag or something and maybe get the filmers or whoever else is there to give a second opinion and review. Each rider is only allowed one challenge or something. Majority decides which way the call goes. I dunno might work might not.

Pretty piss weak reffing if you ask me.

TBH Max didnt even touch the tail on the 5. Unfortunately for him. From the camera angle, it looks like he might have touched but from emils view on the knuckle he saw there was no grab.

What you guys need to realize is that the refs POV is always different from the camera angle. And unless they re watch the video, they may see it better than the behind angle.

I like this a lot actually

I feel like this is the NBA now where the refs take to twitter to discuss calls, lol. But for real, any comment on the legitimacy of emil's 'back swap' ?

The Berrics instituted the challenge rule this year. I think it was only used once or twice and mostly as a joke.

I'm not opposed to the idea but given the vibe of these types of events it could very well have a net negative effect on the event as a whole if people start taking it too seriously.

Where is my SLVSH game Matt Walker? They were suppose to release at 12pm EST, now they're gone.

eh they did something almost exactly like that in the most recent Battle at the Berrics and it was super lame. Most people don't wanna challenge because they don't want to be a dick to the other guy

Seems like you guys hit the jackpot with the weather this year. Very solid game and Hugo's reffing was flawless.

man I would be the meanest slvsh ref. Johan's f4 was rodeo not cork. shouldn't have counted. also k fed should be an automatic letter

Rodeo out would have been a b4 not a f4. The f4 cork is essentially a sw cork 5 starting from sideways. Also bring back the kfed it is a beautiful trick.

ok but he did it like a switch rodeo 5 starting from sideways. also I would call differences between rodeos and flats if I were reffing. didn't come up this game but it does often enough

Sw cork 5 and sw rodeo 5 are the same trick, same set, so at this point it's just semantics. So still a front cork 4.

I get the rodeo/flat argument, but even though they are different tricks they are variations of the same axis. Everybody has a different rotation for those sorts of flips so in a game like SLVSH I think that as long as it's in that realm of a rodeo/flat axis it should go.

To quote Andrew Napier in slvsh cup ruka "misty, bio, rodeo, it's all cork."

I do enjoy a good k fed

Fuck man... next slvsh cup I’m having my dog fill out my bracket. No amount of knowledge can prepare you for the curveballs that slvsh brings

Fuckin tell me about it, I'm at a solid 1/5 right now. There were a couple sketch calls in Quinn's game, so personally thought he should've won that, but we all know thats how slvsh goes.

This was probably the worst reffed game of slvsh I’ve seen. Not taking anything away from hugo but it should have been a 4-1 game instead of a 3-3 tie game after that nose butter 6.. some of those calls were complete bullshit.

Nose press call was wack

and that last call...smh. Have woodsy ref all slvsh cup games so they stay consistent

Quinn got robbed that game. Hugo’s nose butter 6 was way to loose, and the revenge was laced. Also Hugo’s last trick he landed sideways. With a different ref the game could have gone really differently.
