SLVSH

Strange but true my guy. Rails (particularly technical rail tricks) Require a ton of ski/edge control, requiring highly refined movements/ fine motor skills from the toes through the feet, ankles and lower leg. The same fine motor skills and muscles, in fact, that come into play in dynamic carving and technical big mountain skiing (bricage, jump turns, hops, balancing on logs or rocks, etc).

I hit rails often. I do a lot of technical skiing. I see the overlap every day.

Mate you're talking absolute bollocks.

I agree that game wasn't the most entertaining, but I'll be damned if the drama in this thread doesn't make up for it.

See this was where a game between local kids can still be good, but I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't rather be seeing some more big names. If you were trying to introduce a friend to SLVSH and they watched any of the last 3 they would be incredibly underwhelmed.

Hunter Hess vs Birk Irving was pretty solid, imo. But I agree overall, I think it's cool that young locals are getting exposure but SLVSH is probably the biggest media property in skiing right now and it feels weird when some games are noticeably worse.

That was some good old east coast skiing right there. Nothing too crazy off the jumps but real solid rails from both guys

Forgot about that one, I was talking about the east coast games.

holy hell that was hype... too bad about the last call. loved emils reaction to the redemption 16 at 15:42, definitely exemplified the vibe of the whole game

Holy shit what a game, I've always liked boberg's reffing but that shouldn't have ended that way hugo didnt press, he dragged and Emil definitely did what hugo did on his second try. Either way I'm here in the breakroom at work and I just whooped when hugo landed the dub 16, coworkers think I'm weird now.

Wild game, both guys went HAM the whole way through, that middle section with all the dubs jut kept getting more insane (Magnus v Swadburg has only had that kinda crazy middle section when both riders end up needing to cool off, tell me if i'm wrong though!)

Such creative, stylish skiing, both evenly matched in their insanity and definitely the future... if not the present. Went so big on all of it, was amazing to see and embodied what SLVSH is all about.

Shame on the last call, not gonna give Boberg any shit tho, he knew it was tough, he didn't wanna make a call either way being last try and 4-4. Both guys looked pretty beat tbf. Hope they turn it into best of 5, or 7, or 9. Can we just have them at every resort throughout the year constantly battling?!

That game was dope, it’s exciting to see people trying new tricks and it’s hype even if they get close to landing. Not the biggest tricks ever but I was fully entertained the whole time

it would be neat to see a behind the scenes of slvsh. funny shit people do or say or mini interviews while going up the lift.

I think this would be pretty fun to watch

Thought the game was sick and Colby was automatic for the most part....would’ve loved to see Siver send the rodeo ferda but I guess he’d rather take an L :/

This cup is going to be boring. So many similar features and they are all tiny. Like tubes and boxes a foot off the ground, come on lol.

I said this after the cup in Henrik’s park - I’d love to see skiers of this caliber play in a park with an XXL jump line and burly challenge rails.

No one's trying to get broke off playing the game.

You have arguably the most technical rail skiers in the world skiing and probably one of the best early season parks in the world...i really doubt this cup is going to be boring. Personally the ending of this first game was a let down for me because I would have loved to see it go farther, but I wasn’t bored at all during it.

havent finished watching the game yet but colby paid this ref, no trivia crack for siver and he also let colby set a kfed which is unnacceptable

also siver is so mad omg

Siver didn’t get trivia crack because he was the first one to set.

colby still got 3 letters in a row without the set changing. this rule doesnt make sense

It's only if you're not first to set... so each skier gets at least one turn to set. It makes a lot of sense.

Did Emil do that dub 12 lead blunt unnat? WTF

Sickest game I've ever seen those boys go so big and do sick tricks

I remember hearing in the background of one of LSM's vlog things from kimbosessions that emil can't grab lead blunt spinning his natural way, so he had to do it unnatty lol

Idk that was kinda meh, like a good game, but just didn't seem like the boys were stoked. Pretty obvious at the end, especially Colby. Hopefully the conditions get better if that's the issue.

i was feeling the hype right til the end, super sick game

Right? At least try and throw a rodeo 5 (considering it’s Siver Voll) instead of just taking the loss like you don’t even care to be there.

Everybody who complains a single thing about this cup is nuts! First game was sick, I mean it was 14 minutes of pure pleasure watching these guys ski. Sure the end was kind of a bummer but that doesn't change the fact that everything before was good and I am pretty sure that a lot of good games will follow!

I'm surprised Siver never learned rodeo's, pretty simple axis that is far less complicated then a sw cork 7 nose to stale??

That’s why joonas was like “dude you do the same just rotate this way instead”

Joonas was shook Siver never landed a rodeo 5
