SLVSH

couldn't stop smiling that whole game haha such good vibes, hands in pockets were absolute money

i lost it at woodsy talking shit to quinn after the revenge at 3:50 haha

Great game, good vibes, I hate to be the one that complains about anything, but I saw it in the youtube comments as well.

I dont think Quan ever got locked into the rail following that 5 swap. All the weight was way before the binding the way I saw it. It's weird they slowmoed it, as if they were accentuating "look how he got it", and it seemed to show even more that he just didn't quite get it.

Not going to stir up a hissy fit, if that was on defense I would probably say that was good. Its also hard to get that knit picky on something as crazy as a front 5 swap, its just that it seemed he bounced off to the side in a way that pretty much showed that he never got locked in after the swap to fully finish the trick.

Anyway, Woodsy was a great ref, it was great game, and obviously this cup has been all time.

big if true

cause then quan would've won both games with a missed trick

That game was so fun to watch. Good skiing and great commentary/comradery. Also whether or not 5 swap was toooo bolts it was still so sick. And as much as Tom Ritsch seems like the man, I think A Hall would have obliterated him. Alternatively I feel like quinn could beat ahall, so outcome seems good moving forward.

I felt the same way, personally wasn't a huge fan of the judging...still a great game though.

Definitely gained a tun of respect for Quann after watching these slvsh games, kid shreds

He got on the rail, did a 540, landed back on the rail, rode the remainder of the rail and landed switch.

What more do you want my guy

That game was as fucking hilarious as it was awesome. Hands in pockets tricks are about to become a thing.

Prepare yourself, there is especially one game coming with a lot of hand in the pocket tricks.

Is it just me or do AHall and Wolferman look like they could be brothers, minus the height, of course.

Hahah yess, just wait for the game if they play against each other ...

Awesome game. Good vibes all around. Being out there & riding that park would be a highlight of my existence.

SLVSH should do a behind the scenes Aprés edition. I would imagine there’s some partying going on haha.

If you're telling me that you didn't know Quan shreds before watching this cup then you should probably just hop off newschoolers

Woodsy showing how a ref can add color without over doing it! Great game, one of my favorites so far awesome match up and great trick calls.

That was a pretty fucking great game, loved how it was 4-4 in the end and Woodsys the best ref. Preparing for some fucking craziness in the last games.

I wonder if we will be blessed with the first semifinal game today, or if they're waiting until next week to release...

Henny starting out his SLVSH career perfect, probably going to win it all. Can't see anyone else getting him at this park. Maybe if A-Hall gets to the finals he'll start pulling some of those Pep style reverts.

shoutout to hunter for being able to keep up with some of those later tricks. Some of the camera angles on his shots were to tier shoutout to the filmers

gonna watch this one a few times

what's the song that was playing when henrik was shouting out slvsh

3030 by Del

That song has been used in a few damn good edits including T Hall and pollard.

henny you’re so dialed and smooth!!!

To say Harlaut is one of the most stylish and creative skiers around he is definitely the most boring rider to watch in this cup.

Not sure if Hess was just entirely off his rail game, or if he's just not that great at rails to begin with. In the QF, he was ripping the jumps, and I would have liked to see a little more of that. Also, I'm not 100% sure on the rules, but wasn't there supposed to be a switch of set after three letters or something? Does that not happen in the SFs?

kind of disappointed seeing henrik call some tricks (6on2out) and lines (stall to rail slide to blindswapsomething to switch on 2out) 3 games in a row. + considering hes been riding that park for so long

Hunter had a chance to set so no trivia crack.

I love henrik but damn man stop repeating your tricks/lines from previous games. Plus i think that slvsh should minimize the number of rails in a line to 2

Hess should have used the jump to mix things up a bit. When Dollo is that consistent in rail game ( not saying that he is not consistent on jumps) you cannot beat him that's for sure. Still a good game to watch.

I agree. Those lines are definitely preparation he's using to his advantage. BUT to make a comparison from the game of chess; There's moves you prepare before a game and make sure you got them on lock, and try to catch your opponent off guard to win the game (just to say it very very simple). On the highest level this is how you win games, and I think this can be applied to SLVSH to some extent, which we're seeing from Henrik right now. It's definitely good strategy for him, no matter if he's been preparing these lines & tricks or just got them from skiing that park everyday.

And let's not forget; Henrik has a lot of X-games medals and is an extremely experienced skier, so there's very few that can match him at all. In my opinion A-hall is the only one that has a real chance against him with his bone-bending maneuvers. Quinn is ofc a very talented skier as well, but Henrik is just on a higher level, simple as that.

I'm not so sure the result would be so different if this was SLVSH cup Perisher either.

Hunter Hess has such a deep bag of tricks, but his style is boring and kinda sloppy

to be fair, it must be super challenging on your mind to be up against Henrik. Survival mode all the way ;)

This actually brings an interesting point for future SLVSH cups that riders shouldn't be able to repeat sets round to round. Might be hard to track but would ultimately up the level of skiing each round.

He's also only 18. He still has time to tweak his style a bit. But I think it's impressive how far he got into the cup considering most of us had not heard of him before.
