SLVSH

I think in the midst of all this SLVSH cup talk we are missing one of the most important developments that has come from insta. Steve Stepp has grown a mustache potentially opening the door for a new alter ego, Esteban Steep

He's been running the stash most of the winter. It may or may not finally be looking like a real mustache.

Really enjoyed the Q&A on insta, more of that would be awesome.

Does anyone know why Magnus said no to the cup invite, but still went anyway? Seems a bit odd, it’s not like playing a few cup games is too much effort or something?

Bunch don't do those competition things

Magnus was in last years cup in Andorra, and he’s played plenty of SLVSH games since it started

My guess would be injury. Probably doesn't want to aggravate a recent injury doing tricks he's never done.

I'm jk, maybe he's just trying to soul ski while being surrounded by all the nasty guys there, I'd love to just ski there not even competing in the cup.

Way too much commentary and Bmack was annoying as fuck tbh (should've given Quinn that sw r tails 2 to forward) but props to Quinn and Bellemare for such a good game!

1. Alex's sniper tap was a lil sus but it was a tap so..

2. I dunno what yall talking about bmack was a killer ref, talk bout a hype man.

3. Imo Quins corks could have been more corked tbh especially if he says it has to be super corked, either way alex's were 100% straight spins from the cannon.

4. Quin lost the safety on the ender

5. Seems way sus that quin lost the grab but alex lost the game on such a sus petty thing like holding the grab x2 but in the end they are both dope dude that are fucking crazy, I didnt know who to root for but overall it was a fucking awesome game.

Is it just me or was there a bit of a weird vibe to that game?

It got a bit awkward when the filmer (Charlie I think) told B Mack 'you can't do that if he slid the whole rail, he either came off early or he didn't'.

Definitely some different vibes from this game, but the corks on and off the rails made it a banger. Calls were debatable for sure, but that didn't ruin it for me. Either of those guys could probably have gone on to take it.

Sidenote: Bellemare's 4s on were clean as a whistle and that sw cork 6 b2 out was rowdy. Sucks he's out so early but quinn is a boss so it's all good

quinn let go of his safety on that last trick

Not the biggest picture, but yeah bs call there. If you mash the pause button he goes from near his toe binding, loses it, grabs higher.

I was digging the hype vibes at first but at some point it sort of got out of hand. Still liked the game though ... those corks on and off rails were insane. Judging was debatable but this ain't a FIS comp so suck it up and enjoy.

Y'all are blind asf, Quinn got the grab and secured the W legitimately

I'll amend this statement.

Upon rewatching it a couple times in .25 speed, I still don't think that there is enough evidence that he didn't grab it to call it back. The ski goes completely invisible in some frames making it tough to judge but his body motion and lack of arm movement makes it appear as though he did keep it secured the whole way through.

On top of that, B Mack called it after seeing it in person which, albeit could have been wrong, but likely is a much clearer evaluation compared to pixels on a gopro shot.

I can see an argument for calling it either way.

I was very tempted to mute the game and just watch. It's almost like he knew that we knew that he was buzzing and he blew it way out of proportion and it was obnoxious

Everyone is nuts, bmack was a great ref. If that was magnus, or woodsy, or wabs who are all better known, everyone would be praising the ref entertainment.

Iffy judging wasnt his fault either, quinn was riding real loose, those were tough calls. In fine with how it shook out though

Fuck bmack. had to stop watching after the disaster 4 front 2 and he says "lets see some harder tricks". boi lets see you hit that first t. and he's already letting Quinn slide. imma watch the rest but fuck bmack

really weird vibes in that game. first slvsh game I've ever watched where the atmosphere felt tense... or something? can't really put my finger on what was off.

I'm 90% sure it is caused by the lack of music. Makes the vibe totally different when watching. Hopefully, it was just something they wanted to try out. And props to bmack for reffing a tricky game.
