Yeah he was definitely right, would've loved to see him let it slide though it was like a sketchy side hit thing

Good game

Yeah he called a flair 7 and did a cork 7, he did it right the second time, just got caught up, tough luck for sure.

Sure wish i could see my bracket walker...

Did anyone else notice that Russ was replaced with Abm at the end bratcket thing?

Fire game with the Norwegian guys and my bratcket is still alive

Wait really? So now it's ABM vs A Hall?

I guess we'll see but that changes things quite a bit

Yeah its Abm vs Ahall, i picked Russ on top at my bracket but this spiced things Up, Abm vs ahall sounds like a interesting game.

all the slides that he said were no good because he considered them taps. if you commit to the swap, land on the rail and ride out it should be counted. i mean we're not going for perfection here.

ABM is good in competitions but I don't know if he can play defence as well as russ. However, just like russ, he can do some stuff that a hall will have a fun time keeping up with.

Judging is very subjective. As long as he made calls with consistency, which he did, then I think he did a decent job

darn. how else will we settle the ahall vs russ debate.

I know how you feel... I'm pretty sure mine is still alive?

Exactly, but the thing is he didn't land on the rail and lock in, he just tapped it.

Russ hasn't done much all winter down here, may not be 100%. I base this purely on him being light on the insta and not touching his blog

wow that game was garbage.. at least woodsy is out and hopefully gonna step in as ref where he truly shines

Woodsy is the best reff hahaha anyone know what kind of oakley glasses those where they look dope as f

Welp thats two tourneys in a row Woodsys let me down on the bracket. Still love the guy. Prolly has one of the best personalities in skiing.

Woodsy did not seem to show up for that game. Reffing was not the best but thats the way the cookie crumbles i suppose

Well, even though Woodsy lost, its a win-win for all of us because now he can judge. Woodsy is my favorite judge hands down

The Wabster is also an awesome judge.

The reffing may have been loose but he was consistent in his calls and thats what really matters

13718029:Tappie said:
Agreed, still thought it was an entertaining game.

I don't think it was that consistent. He was harsh on Woodsy's nose slide on an early one but then ignored Vinnie coming off early on the quad kind. Worst reffed game I can remember.

Also disappointing lack of jumps considering how strong and creative both their jump games are.

It was more or less to try and keep the game going. It was a pretty weak game

Eh? That's the opposite of what happened. Missing Vinnie coming off early ended the game. If the ref had called it correctly it would have gone over to Woody's call, prolonging the game and giving him a chance to get back in it.

But there were multiple where they came off early and their tips or tails stayed on till the end and he called them all good. And that nose slide wasnt even close...

Watch them again. Vinnie only gets his nose over when he's halfway between the two final supporting/vertical bars and Woodsy does exactly the same. The only difference is that Woodsy rockers into it more so he's at a more pronounced angle.

is rockers a verb?

Ya you dont angle your toes down like that on a noseslide/press.... there should be no rocking just leaning and sliding out in front of your toes

Fair enough. Still seems to me like the ref wasn't loose on that though when he was really loose on everything else - hence my comment that I don't think he was consistent.

I enjoyed that game. Regardless of maybe a few iffy calls. Looked like Gagnier would probably have won regardless.

And even if the rail isn't dead centre under your boot, so long as both your skis slide right to the end of the rail and the rail is somewhere in the middle 1/3 of the skis I wouldn't consider it.coming off early.

On the poledriver 27 Vinnie was completely off the rail before the end though. Shame as I would have liked to see the game continue. Woodsy was off his game a bit anyway though.

Really bummed they counted vinnie's "nosepress" in the beginning, shit was so weak. still love all the free content though keep it coming
