I don't know why you'd just come into this thread after every game and at least half of the time you just say "oh that game sucked" if you're going to be negative, at least try be constructive. Also switch 7s should be banned from slvsh, no one is ever going to mess that up.

techy switch ups and spins out in a game of skate is exactly what i want to see, its interesting to me because you get to see how the riders do in one-try situations

I don't mind seeing it either but i like the variety. Will vs Lj was very tech and fun to watch but they also threw in some weird shit. I guess my point is i like to see it all.

exactly. if they do unique style tricks that only they do on a regular basis, then it's kind of dumb. If they do standard (but hard) tricks, we can see their technical prowess and consistency, which is really fun to see.

For example, if Bdog just buttered a ton of stuff and made dale talkington do it as well, it would be pretty boring as Dale, while he can probably butter well, would be better off doing more technical tricks.
 
People are hating on unique style tricks that only certain people can do well while the same can be said with ridiculously tech tricks like Goepper's switch dub genie, or other jump focused pros who go for ridiculous grabs that most others can't do.

Style/creativity and tech are two different types of skiing with the same drawbacks. Just because you haven't seen a trick before doesn't mean it's unfair game. SKATE/SLVSH (or whatever variation you want to call it) started as a way to try and learn new tricks for riders of all abilities because the goal is to match the opponent's specialty tricks and do tricks they can't do.

Yes, this may be a large factor in the games, but remember: they just recently changed the rules to 'trivia crack' (or whatever) to stop the stomps with specialty tricks. It's not a perfect system, and in my opinion, I still think that the most recent game left something to be desired. There.

I really wish this would've been instituted before the sander v giray game. Sander knew the hits inside and out, giray was in first try friday mode.
 
I think the instabanger edits are so sick. The fact that these guys can go out that open to trying new (and sometimes insane) tricks and stomp most of them is just mind-blowing.

damn lip nosebutter 4s were fucked!

pretty impressed with kai's rail game considering that he's a big air type of skier medaling in several times in the last couple X big airs. he should do slope comps
 
can we stop calling reverts nosebutters? either name the trick how you're going to do it or do the trick that you named. there was no butter in any of those attempts

sorry, it's a huge pet peeve of mine when people claim reverts as nosebutters. because actual nosebutters are SO MUCH HARDER (and yes, i realize that the shit they are doing is still extremely difficult)

dang that game was mad fun to watch. perfect match up, and i've never heard of Till before. Dude's sick. had a smile on my face most of the game. Kai seemed kinda bored though haha
