SLVSH

I think a 2v2 game would be sick. Similar set up as a 2v2 pokemon battle, you can choose the person who you are challenging weather its one trick each or two for one person

Antti Ollila vs Daniel Hanka... follow us on Insta and or Facebook at /theslvsh if you want to know what games drop weekly.

Cheers.

you guys should do also just a spin to win who can do the most right or left side spin in a single run.

That is 'zero'. They have it already. Joss vs Walker and Bobby vs Gus. They seem to only do this on major slope courses so far.

Between our FB page and Slvsh.com we have done games of either Spin 2 Win or Zero on Dew Tour, SFR Val Thorens, World Champs, X Games and Mammoth GP courses

No because they have to spin the other way. I want to see just right side spins on or just left side spins on the entire course nothing but 630's on and 1620 on Jumps one way.

Sander and Giray just played a game at alta...

got me thinking.... maybe an urban game of slvsh could be played. at SLC rail gardens or another zero bust and low pressure spot. although that would take awhile if riders had to build their features for creative hits.

While rail garden looks fun, it seems like it's a bunch of down rails that aren't that long. There's more trick options in a park, which is much more entertaining for a game of SLVSH.

That is correct. Everyone knows those guys are great skiers, but seeing them go trick for trick all day long was crazy. These guys are next level. Better get a ticket for this hypetrain before they are sold out.

Holy fuck games with jumps are sooo much better than purely rail games.

Depends on the skiers. If they have a similar bag of tricks yes. You would've liked to see LJ and Will hit jumps?

Can we make it natural vs unnatural when calling direction as apposed to left and right. I don't know pro skiers natural way of spinning. So I think if you said 'skier one spins right naturally' it would be great and give more knowledge of the riders

I think fuck rules and the riders can do whatever they want, but if I had to choose I'd choose left/right. It's just simpler, I don't wanna think while watching skiing...

There have been games where this happened, I can't remember who it was but they called natural 270 on or unnatural 270 on and each rider did it differently.

Yeah, usually when the two spin opposite of each other they'll say unnatural or bad foot/way or hard foot/way or something like that. But if they both spin the same way they got with left and right.

Ideally, you shouldn't need to know which direction a pro skier naturally likes to spin or grind. Sure, they probably like to learn a trick in one direction, but, they should eventually know every trick they can do in every direction. This hasn't been recognized in skiing until recently and it still isnt a common mentality. I think we were influenced a little too much by moguls, where a L7 to an R7 is a considered a repeat trick, and we were not influenced enough by snowboarding where it matters more that you can do all four 5's over being able to do a front 10 but only a back 3. So, we'd like to move towards being complete skiers, not mogulists/aerialists.

However, we have had a couple discussions about this. I do remember labeling some tricks unat just because some people spin/grind different ways. (example; Player A spins Left, grinds Right and Player B spins Left, grinds Left) some tricks become increasingly harder for one player over the other and they can just try to do every variation and exploit that weakness. But, unless someone is obviously doing that, we will probably shy away from labeling it that way.

TL,DR: learn every trick in every direction.

Yeah doesn't Evan spin right naturally? Kinda unfair if he's doing natty flat 9 and the other guy has to do unnatty. I doubt there's more than 20 people in the world who can do that trick both ways.

I get the whole do your tricks both ways thing but every skier does have a natural direction and it does influence the difficulty of the trick. 100% for calling shit natty and unnatty vs. left and right. I think that promotes both way tricking even more than having to call left or right
