SLVSH

Some heated games have been going down at PCMR lately. Hyped to see the edits in the coming weeks.

I find that the lines aspect doesn't really work well. I know this isn't a traditional game of skate per say, but it would be way better as trick to trick instead.

I personally find the lines to be a cop out.

But, I think the idea of revenge is an awesome element.

Also the "text yourself before you wreck yourself" inspired Instabanger is brilliant. Do more of those.

Cop out? How so?

I tried to think of a better answer than the following, but its why I mostly dislike it.

Skateboarders don't do lines in their game of skate.

I know that's stupid to many, but that in part is why it's called an opinion.

Well the thing with skateboarding is they can do all of their "tricks" on a flat concrete surface. It's pretty hard to do all of your rail tricks or jump tricks on one feature.

I think that the lines are a good way of breaking a stalemate situation. It's a way of upping the ante on the tricks without making the tricks themselves completely un-doable by their opponent. Keeps things interesting.

bunch of small easier tricks as opposed to one banger.

lines enable riders to set tricks in a line that flow or that show they can do tricks both ways. sw lip 2 might not be the hardest trick on a park rail but, both sw lip 2s in a row is a tough line. so, instead of seeing who is the best at single gnarly tricks, you get to see who can do both single gnarly tricks and techie lines the best.

i don't agree but can kind of see where youre coming from

the only thing i think is questionable is making really specific grab mandates (especially when it's a super new grab that isn't even a household name). i think it takes too much advantage of what one person has practice doing vs another

but i guess the whole thing is a challenge of taking yourself out of your comfort zone and nailing dictated tricks first try. i can't believe how solid most of these guys are

Why you gotta do them all on one feature? I would still expect them to move from feature to feature setting tricks.

One trick to one feature is more what I am getting at, if they wanna show the "pre-trick" line (any feature before the one in play) I think the rider can do any set up trick they want into the feature/trick that is in play.

I think it would speed up the game and make it more fast paced overall. My thought being you could end up doing more games and have the edits be half the amount of time.

I think the series is put together really well, all the above is just food for thought. Keep up the good work. Stoked for the next Instabanger.

Why would you want the games to be half as long? It's not like 5 mins is a huge chunk of your day, and it's entertaining to watch them go at it for a whole game, doing lines and everything.

even the bnb was an idea taken from torsteins games of in your face from a few years back. my biggest gripe is when will there be an original idea?!

that doesn't bother me-- the game of horse is from basketball or whatever first anyway. i mean, youre right, this being the exact same setup is unoriginal; but it's an awesome game so i don't mind that too much

i do agree id like to see something original though

my idea would be have a panel of 3 judges and just compete on several features-- no rules beyond trying to win a point on each feature based on Overall Impression. e.g. you hit a dfd with a super fed, but if i go and 2 or more of the judges are more stoked on my sw lip disaster to blind 2, id win the point from that feature. play to 5 points or something

idk, im just spitballing

I have never seen a game of Zero before.

Yo bro, they're supplying free games of ultimate skate on snow, meanwhile having fun with it and creating new takes on it. Don't complain just watch or don't watch.

Not to sure why everyone is complaining. The concept of these edits/games are very unique. When Stept tried to do this the edits came out very in consistently, and with the very sad and tragic death of the great Tom Wernick, unfortunalty these games of skate will not happen anymore.

Walker and Joss are, it seems, very determeined to put out quality consistnet content, which is what every NSer wants. At least for me it full fills my anticipation to watch for one every week.

The style of SLVSH is very laid back, who ever is at the park at any given time can play a game. With the Instabanger edits, those are easy as well. Throw a post up on Instagram telling everyone to comment a trick and a shout out, and you could have the edit out later in the week or that day even.

As for the games of Zero, im sure we will see more once the XGames course is up and running and the comp season is in full swing.

All of these is very similar to what the Berrics have, and just look how successful those are. I dont see why SLVSH cant do the same.

dude this would actually be so funny to watch Goepper butter over lips and ski like bmac and watch maximillian try to triple

I mean , I doubt that Goepper would throw triples and shit , he'd probably feel bad because Maximilian can't do them , and if he did throw huge doubles and technical jump stuff , Max would probably not even try so it'd be wasted attempts which would make for a short game , and it would suck.

however on the rails Maxi is pretty good , so I guess it could be intresting to see if he can keep up with Goepper , but seeing Goepper skiing sideways over bumps and trying to butter isn't really something I'd want to watch..

Max is crazy talented, but I've never seen him double or spin left, I imagine a game between him and Goepper would be like Russ and Oystein, just a lot shorter.

Was this another no hitting jumps game? And when is Joss gonnastep up tto the plate and play a game?

Thst being said, slvsh has to be one of the best things to happen to the ski community
