SLVSH

the game is all about pairing up skiers with similar styles and abilities. I feel like Goepper or Gus would obviously win all they would have to do is call a dub and its game over

I get that but the game is designed to give both sides a chance with the trivia crack rule. Plus, both of those guys, B mack and LSM, do (or at least one time did) have some crazy tricks on lock. I'm just wondering if someone like Gus or Goepper could actually do some of the tricks in this latest game. Sure they could call dubs but these guys could call something challenging too. I just wanna see some contrast I guess, not two guys who's skiing style is very very similar. I already see that every Bunch edit. Jah feel?

Gus/Goepper wouldn't be able to keep up with tech and creative style tricks either.

Im pretty sure gus and goepper could easily do a ballerina 360 befote a rail and slide sideways on a landing

Controversial opinion alert!

Half those tricks are wack. Tokyo drift? Underslide nose bonk? It doesn't even look good. Edge control is cool and all, but c'mon.

Lol at a switch 5 blunt being the sickest trick in the game. Those guys are so talented but they take being "creative" so far it's not even interesting.

this is the dumbest thing i've ever read. Without people like this, the sport literally would be ariels. Go play baseball or basketball if you want to watch something with zero creativity.

That being said, gus or bobby would straight up slaughter these guys in a game. Probably even the weirdest/tech tricks in here, zero spin tail tap and the backslide gap backslide, those guys could land in their sleep. But the bottom line is they wouldn't think up that trick to do in the first place, that's the beauty of the balance of our sport.

Just my opinion but i didnt enjoy watching any of those tricks haha. That was the worst game i've ever seen. Neither of those guys could beat anyone else that has played so far.

Disagree with this. The game is about friendly competition between all sorts of skiers. Obviously LSM wouldn't be able to keep up on huge jump tricks but Gus/Goepper wouldn't be able to keep up with tech and creative style tricks either. It would force each side to step into each other's shoes and find a middle ground and thats what would be really interesting to see.

Are you saying Nick Goepper can't do a 270, land sideways then ride out forward? Im sure they could think of doing these tricks too, but doing real tricks are usually more fun to them than sliding around sideways with their hands on the ground all day

yeah i agree. props to them for thinking outside of the box, but it's not for me. i'd rather watch real skifi.

that said, downey is my favorite ref so far

Not sure if I would call this hate, its just peoples opinions, I'm on the fence on how I feel about the bunch so I'm not going to comment on it but people are entitled to posting their opinions on the slvsh game and if they didn't like it and you do well thats how the world works! If you like the bunch you might not like something that those other guys do and it would be the exact same scenario.

All I'm saying is don't let others opinions on something you like ruin it for you!

The problem is that sometime people have a hard time expressing their negative opinions, they come off super harsh which people think is "hating". I agree that there isn't really hate, just negative comments, same if someone said "that dude has bad style, he just hucks, spins to win" but since thats more acceptable on NS, its not hate its just an opinion.

For real. "oh you don't like something that i like? well clearly you're just a fucking hater and you're wrong."

Wholy fuck this thread has alot of negativity. Almost in every game someone has something negative to say. Slvsh is doing this awesome thing for FREE so why so much negativity?

All you fuckin idiots complain about competitions having no style.

Slvsh makes a competition where the skiing has style and you guys start bitching.

If you didn't like it don't watch it, I'm sure the Chinese aerials team is looking for more fans.

But don't try to say this shit is easy, if any of you could do what LSM does you would be professional skiers.

That said, the tricks were sick but I think I prefer something more technical when it comes to head to head competition.

Jesus Christ, when did skiing get so damn serious? Chill out.

Im not a big fan of this statement. Most people on here advocate that skiing is an art form, and as an art form it is open to interpretation by the viewer. Just because people are commenting and posting their opinions it doesn't mean they're taking it too seriously- what do you think forums and comments exist for? They're here to host discussion, and without honest opinions we would not make progress. If you have something you feel is valuable to the discussion then post it but otherwise if you're going to police the forums and try to tell people to chill out when they're hosting a good debate, just keep it to yourself.

Why is everyone so soft? Sharing your opinion is not hating. I enjoyed the game, and it doesn't bother me that other people didn't. Not everyone has to have a positive opinion about everything.

''It's free, so you can't criticise it!''

Just stop it, you completely miss the point of the ''negativity''. It is not meant diss SLVSH directly as a whole at all, people are just giving in their opinions on the entertainment value of the games.

People have discussed about the Bunch and the tricks they're doing in many other instances. If Nick Goepper would play a game, people would still mock him like they've had for years. It's not about the format. You try to sound like an angel who thinks that we should blind and deafen ourselves just because... I don't even know. Admit it, you missed the point and you should feel bad. /rantforadumbkid

I totally posted this in the wrong thread, so that's my bad.

yeah looking back on the rest of this thread I realized pretty much everytime they release an episode people complain in some way, I figured this was disproportionate to what normally happens in here but I guess not lol

to carry on with the discussion, I feel like hand drags on rails are going to blow up this season

I'm sorry, but I liked that game. It was different, fun and unique. There have been so many games that are to their core super similar, to have one that was so out there was a welcomed change of pace in my opinion. The park was clearly haggard, but Maxi and Lucas still made it happen. Sure it wasn't Evan vs Russ epic, but it certainly didn't suck either.

And for people saying they could do half those tricks -- A. I'd like to see that and B. there are tons of games where people call a bunch of rail tricks that a lot of people can do (how many times has a left 270 or a k-fed been called...), just because it was different doesn't means it's easy.

Agree with what others said about the backslide to switch up backslide 2 out. That shit was bonkers.

I liked the game, it was really cool seeing something different from the other games, and It's exactly what I expected to see from these two.

it all depends on what you like seeing in skiing, for me that was one of the best slvsh games yet, opinions can be said but why rip on skiers and they're tricks, you've got a superunknown winner going up against a true style innovator, i'm sure they can all teach us a thing or two

i honestly enjoyed the game, i thought the mellowness was fun to watch. sure the tricks were not as technical as other games, but its was chill to watch the dudes having fun skiing.

Shoutout for bringing this up.

It bothers me about people saying "I could easily do the tricks" or "that isn't even a hard trick".

its funny, this situation has crossed me so many times, rail jams, other things, I have literally had random people tag their friends on my personal instagram videos saying "I've done all these tricks @parkskier69".

well @parkskier69420, who is calling the slvsh tricks easy:

1. have you hit that rail before?

2. were you skiing in the same conditions, on the same hill, at the same time?

3. were you in a slvsh game with the pressure on to land said tricks

4. Even if you can do the trick, can you do it first try? (most importantly)

5. lets see videos kidos!

6. Skiing is fun

No trick is easy if you don't know the context.

Steve I love you #GUOH

I really wanna see someone like Gus or Goepper play LSM eventually. Curious what would happen

lol @ people who think lsm would get beat, unless the game was exclusively on like an 80 ft kicker he could easily handle most standard tricks. There's a vid on his insta of him doing both way sw bio 9's "when not filming for the movie". He just chooses to ski differently cause doing the same shit as everyone else is boring and easy.

I think that this particular game, him and b-mack just were having fun, not tryna stomp the hardest shit at all, unlike the slvsh cup games where dudes were going hard af. That's what makes slvsh so awesome is that they give you a mix of both.

Ben Smith v Karcher will probably be a pretty good game, but I would love to see the Kutcher v Joan game...when's that gonna drop?

nope, switch bio 9's aren't that big of a deal. He's a talented dude, but he in no way keeps up with the top slope guys. I'd even put Clayton Vila over LSM in the park any day.

I think the game was pretty good. Just different from usual stuff.

Bmacks backslide gap blindswap backslide was a crazy ass call. Gutted that he didn't get it. Would have been insane!!!

I'm not saying he can keep up with top slope guys at all, I'm saying people that think he wouldn't stand a chance are underestimating his ability to do normal tricks. I think a game between LSM and a comp type skier would be very interesting to watch, because do you think someone like Gus could do a lazyboy rod 5? Or a pre grab of a jump? Nope lol, Gus even said in his instabanger he couldn't comprehend a pre grab on skis. I'm just trying to show people that just cause LSM can't dub, doesn't mean his bag of tricks isn't deep.

Pretty sure Gus could easily stomp a lazy rodeo 5 or pregrab. Dudes an animal. And the reason he couldn't "comprehend" a pre grab was because it was a pre-safety...kinda hard to do...

Get your facts straight boy
