putting money into a pool for a bracket is not gambling, people do this all the time with fantasy football, march madness, etc

that being said, sports gambling is federally legal, laws are state to state in the USA now

So you're saying you've never done a pool with your buddies for sports? Literally of millions of people do every year lol it's a grey area and not really enforceable
