Slowly coming to an end

So the season in CO is by no means over. Im still praying for an epic storm to come through for spring break and hopefully a solid 20 days of skiing left to ride. But as the temperatures in boulder are consistently in the 60s and 70s im starting to feel that anxiety that comes at the end of the season. Iv definitely had a damn fun season as of yet, i got to go sled skiing several times in crested butte, took advantage of the few powder days colorado had this year, and simply had soooo much fun as im sure all of us have had. I just don't want it to end and while i can't wait to be over with classes the thought of summer is down right depressing. Im already starting get excited for next season as this one is slowly coming to an end and wish i could just fast forward through summer to first big storm of next year. Anyone else have similar feelings?

I am sorta on the same boat as you. Today it was 50s and I went for a run. It was kinda closure for the skiing season for me. I am ready for tennis and kinda pumped for summer. Although there is no skiing I still have fun jibbin random shit and you get to do a lot of other things besides skiing. Though I say this I am still pumped for next season. I can drive, go skiing alot, getting all new gear and just stoked. As summer comes around though it's going to be fun to see what happens on NS.

There's still like a month of skiing left but i know what your saying cause im kinda injured right now and im scared i won't be able to throw down before the end of the season.

march warm weather will do that. I just had the biggest storm yet at my house but it was 60 something today. I am hoping for one more march storm. Hopefully close to my birthday. I haven't mounted my PBR skis and I would like just a few inches of powder to ski them on.

i rate of progression increases as the season gets later so im always pumped for the next and next day. its a good method you guys should try it

its funny/depressing to hear you say that cuz after a couple BRUTAL months at my job, i just finished up a major project and booked my flight to vail for march 20th haha, i only got out like 10 times here on the east which is my least productive season yet but u cant imagine how fucking pumped i am to get to Vail and Breck, especially since ive never been there and the only time ive ever really skied was last new years at whistler.
so for your sake, and mine, lets get one more epic storm in eh?

Im hating winter skiing as of now. I cant wait for some spring skiing. Plus i live by mt hood so im really excited for summer skiing.

An epic storm around the 20th sounds perfect haha, i'll be in cb and have several lines im dying to get on a fresh day

i've been out for most of the season and am going to colorado for spring break from march 21 to 29. is there any chance it will still be actual skiing and maybe a big storm or is it gonna be like 60s and rain?

man, our season is just starting to get good here in BC. should still have another month and a half of skiing left.

snowiest month at sugarloaf are febuary, march, and april. so about one more month to enjoy myself then on to long boarding to pass the time to next year

in ontario we have got alot of snow but everytime it snows it melts days after. Last season blue almost stayed open until may but this year im just hoping to get to the end of march. Season has gone way too fast

i totally feel you man it was -3 tuesday tomorrow is supposed to be 60's until wednesday. depression is setting in I havent gone skiing as much as I have wanted I am just hoping that I can get through march with some killer sessions before springs closes. Hopefully I am able to go to windells this summer though

I feel the same. I probably have a month or so of lift serviced skiing in central new york, then after that its hiking for some turns, then when I'm home for break after this semester ends, there might be some lift serviced skiing way up north, but not counting on it, after that it will be hiking for turns at closed resorts and maybe a trip to mount washington. All together I probably have 2 to 3 months of skiing left.

However I am pretty excited for some spring skiing. Aside from a powder day, nothing beats spring conditions. Corn, soft snow, slush, late season storms. Park in the spring is so fun as are glades and technical descents.

im just pumped for summer because i get to go to windells and shred a better park in the summer than i do in the winter

my local resorts close in one week

i will have to drive over 100 miles to ski...

plus it is going to be 60s and 70s this weekend. maybe rain too.

you can ski here in colorado til like june. but yeah it is really depressing. i was also pumped for ruby hill, but that never happened

it makes me so sad that the season is almost over. Its gonna be in the 50s and 60s for the next month, with rain this weekend

Last year I was able to ride on memorial day... doesnt look to be so this year, although we did finally get a storm and 18" fresh yesterday here in WA.... maybe winter is finally starting here!

i most likely ended my season yesterday, but i am absolutely unsatisfied with my skiing this year....my hill probably has 2-3 weeks left until closing, which i would be completely fine with, but yesterday i fucked my shoulder up real bad....i dislocated it about a week ago, and it felt great 2 days later, so i thought i was in the clear. then yesterday in gym i dislocated it again, had some serious pain for while, but took some motrin and felt alot better. after school, my dumbass side came out and i decided to go skiing, even though i had dislocated my shoulder an hour earlier.(it was 55 degrees and sunny, and the park was empty...HEAVEN) So im taking my runs through the freshly built park, and hit the money booter...i had hit it 4 times already, so i had my speed dialed in and was just throwing floaty 3s over it...this time through the park, however, i came up short and hit the knuckle HARD...i bounced off the knuckle doing what some onlookers said was something resembling a misty, and landed straight on my shoulder...BAM. it dislocated again, and now all my ligaments and muscles are real fucked up from multiple dislocations...today i cant move my arm at all, and the doctors want to wait 2 weeks before they even give me an mri to see if i tore anything...so my ski season is over because im a total dumbass

fuck me... i went up yesterday and it looks like my mountain is done for the year......

68 degrees in town, no snow for weeks and 45 mph winds.... I am still headed to Utah next week, Whistler March 26th and Hood in April but I still like riding my mountain the best...

There is like no snow left.

Last night it was 12!

(likes like 60 or something american)

There was like not even a foot of snow left

The puddles were fun though
