Slow Spins Vs. Big/Fast Spins.

well slow spins just look so smooth on film, but don't win contests

whereas fast spins win contests, but may not look as cool on film

i dont like fast spins. slow spins with nice grabs are way better because they look alot better and they are steezy

Slow spins are better in my opinion. anything 10 or above is grooose. Looks bad usually and isnt steezy. ITS ALLLLL ABOUT STEEZ!!!

slow spins look cool and are fun, but they're easy. Anybody can do a big floaty 5. For that reason, i like bigger faster spins better. They're just harder to make look good.

it just depends on what trick it is... if a 5 is crossed it look bad, so you shoudlnt cross nething below a 7 except maybe a 3 tail... its all about truck nose and crit if ur spinnin a 5 or less

fair enough its your opinion, to me thats bull shit though. jf houles cork tail 5 in whiteshine is one of my favourite tricks ever

As said above, it all depends on the situation. From the backcountry step downs, to the 70ft. park hits, it all depends.

well 2 years ago i would say that you can make a 1080 look good....now im just so sick of spinning over 900 that 10s and 12s look like complete shit even if its a perfect grab. the only 10 i like is when they are done in the pipe. currently, off jumps i dont like to see anything over 9. a 9 can look good over basically any sized jump

I think in a video segment you need both, It's when people can tweak out a big spin that it's sick.

to be honest, I am fucking tired of slow steezy sw5s. I like segments and comps that showcase someone throwing the absolute lowest degrees of rotation like zeros and ones mixed in with nothing less than sw9s, up to sw12s. I feel like everyone on the pro level is able to do almost anything with any rotation, and a sw5 is slacking. Same with all these fucking sw corked7 truckers. Give it a rest before it gets more played than it is.

I'm totaly over the whole slow smooth thing. I think it looks really great when you can spin realy fast while looking held together composed.

no!!!!! ive seen steezy switch 9s and 10s before. skiing just wouldnt be nearly as good if there wasnt bigger spins

very pointless... slow equals style fast equals the kid that posted this has no style an is a fag common fuckin sense

i say keep it at 9 or under. when there are over 20 pro skiers throwing switch 10 variations at one of the years biggest comps, you know there is a problem.

I dunno a really steezy super stomped 1080 can be quite schweet. or that one 1440 that i believe schiller did at some big air comp that was super steezy that was dope.

both good for different reasons:

-slow spins look wayyy steezy and clean but

-big spins make you more unique cuz less people can do them and you get more props for it

You gotta have both. No matter what people say its gonna get hated on. If you only spin a sw 5 with a super sick grab, someones gonna say 'oh it was just a sw 5'. If they do a sw 10 with a great grab someones gonna say 'oh that shit was to fast, slow it down', or some shit like it was hucked or something.

Its hard to do them both and make them look good BOTTOM line......thats why there are pros, ams, and haters
