Does anyone know where I can get a digital video editing program that can run clips in slow mo? thanks

 
If you really want an awesome program get Adobe Premier. Its professional quality editing program and cost a LOT, but you can download it from Kazaa or other programs if you have cable or DSL. By far the best program around!

yeah, if you have a PC then definitely look into adobe premiere, and if you have a mac then imovie is pretty good for your basic home editing stuff, and Final Cut Pro is pretty much one of the best consumer video editing programs, but it will set you back $1,000, unless you download it somewhere for free...

 
premier does slow motion really easily and its easy to find online.

Yea premiere works really well, the only thing I don't like about it is how long it takes to produce a video.

 
Slow mo ruins a lot of videos. dont be stupid like most companies and slow-mo the whole section. If you are trying to make a movie, that is.

 
Yea that's what I hate about ski movies, half the movie is in some sort of slow motion. I think you pick and choose what tricks to show in slow motion, and you also show it in regular motion too.

thats the best part about second generation, Berman put a lot less stuff in slow mo than most people.

Its so dumb when your watchin ski movie 2 and they are showing like schannon schad doin a 360 tail at a ridiculously slow speed. Its dumb. They should only put complicated stuff in slow mo so that you can see what is going on.

I know some people including myself use slow mo because if you got a really cool shot but it was kind of shakey, in slow mo it looks alot better. You can rescue alot of shots that way. But definately do not over use slow mo.

Yea I would agree on the point about second generation, after watching like propaganda and subject to change, it's strange seeing tricks in real time motion lol.

 
i think slow motion looks good when used conservatively and well. Personally i do a lot of ramped slow mo cause i edit a lot of skating, it gives viewers a chance to sort of tel the real time speed and clearly see tricks

Personally I like the mix of real time fast and slow mo all in the same shot.

Example: Say its a rail shot or whatever, who cares. Ski up in slightly sped up, but still clear, not shaky either, that sucks. As soon as the skier jumps it slows way down, maybe with some cool sound effect or whatever. And then regular time on the exit.

 
casey, thats called ramped slow mo, shows in real speed up to the jump then slows and when heis in the air and when he hits the ground back to real time

slow mo is gay and gonna soon be out of all movies. MOvies like Wildcats 'lil bastards' and Return of the WIldcats are coming back, everything looks so much more real and technical. SO much better.
