Slow 180 help

I love the look of big slow 180's. Whenever i do them though, i have a hard time really slowing down the rotation.

Any tips on how to do this?

try them switch, it's much easier. i just hit it and dont think about it, just look over my shoulder and my hips just kinda turn on their own

i always think about it like a karate kick motion. japan grabs help me as well. its not really much of a spin, more of a turn(?)

what i do is set like 90 degrees of rotation off the jump, hold a garb, and then go the other 90 right before i land. usually a grab where you don't cross your skis. it doesn't look like a jerked spin when i do it though, looks smooth with the grab.

I like to carve into it a tiny bit. just enough so that, depending on how big the jump is, when you pop with that amount of carve you'll set just enough rotation. I also think that being on both left edges (while spinning left) feels a lot more solid on the pop so you're a lot more steady in the air. and usually it'll just come around when you look for the landing; kinda hard to explain but it feels real cool.

add a lil shifty and stagger the legs a bit while you're waiting for the landing and you're all poppin n ready for a big ol zero on the next hit--even more fun!

try go off almost like a zero spin but maybe angled a bit, and if its big enough you should be able to get it going in the air by turning your head near the beginning of the jump for just a 180 as long as its a bigger jump

I was doin em yesterday and got them pretty down pat. I just carve a tiny bit or just do it like a shiftyish.

Ill twist my uper body to the side but keep my ski's pointed straight, then when im ready ill slowly let my hips come around.
