Slopestyle Runs

hey this is another rant. i tihnk ill make a blog, o well. has anyone noticed that slopestyle runs are starting to only get judged by how good your airs are and not so much your rail skills at all. and even if it has a rail percentage part of the score, its either really small or you just have to at least hit the rail. i think it should be more fifty fifty, like if you just straight slide every rail but pull dope shit of the jumps then you still only get a 50 ya know, but if you throw nosepresses and tailpresses and 360 sw up on the rails and unnatural 7 and cork 9 and a bunch a other dope shit it would be come way more fun to watch cause you know that on every trick they are going for it. oh yeah this is annoying to me because my resorts main park only has jumps no rails.

no, no, you're completely wrong. i suck at rails. i'd hardly be able to compete if they started weighing jumps and rails equally. this is a terrible idea.

actually, in all seriousness, i agree. i should just put more time into training on rails.

i agree ^ good airs are harder than rails but if you can nail rails and make them look steezy sall good.

I disagree 100%. It depends on the skier to say airs are harder than rails, look at Theed. But yea I think they should start looking more into on how they score rails.

yeah i think your run should be judjed and scored more on the jumps than the rails, seeing it isnt a rail jam, but i agree in the rail tricks should be taken more into account.

it is because of the fact that there is so much more to do in the air. if you want rails to be judged higher go in a rail jam

comps around where i ski, the judges are gay, they base it on the trick, not style n shit, even tho thats what slopeSTYLE is about

no matter what at every single comp u can find a way to cmpplain about judging, theres no way around it.

unless it was riders judged....hmmmm

naw guy, take bens 450, ugly as ever, but still did it, i think if someone pulled a made stylie 270 on 270 off, or something like that, that should beat it

Because people are too focused on spinning more rather than finding new ways to do rails.

Rail progression can be done, but barely anyone wants to do it.

they dont do this because the rails come first adn thres only like 2 and thers usually like 4 jumps(x games) there are other rails inthere but you cant hit them to if you want to hit the jump. it wouldnt be as smooth.

shit i was just about to say that...

well it wasn't 100% because of his rails, but if he had just done 270 disaster onto that flat down instead of 630, i'm sure he would've been a few places down.

Rails shouldn't be placed higher or equal to jumps because with jumps there is just more going on. With rails there's less emphasys on style, grabs, natural and unnatural spinning... it's just easier to leave it were it's at.

Weell that's fortunate cause presses and broken are damn easy compared to spins ons, think about it.

anyway slopestyle runs should never include boxes.

yeh thats tru...you guys cant just say that the most progressive run wins...doing a switch 270 on, bs 360 switch up, 270 off is harder than a leading broken...therefor should be judged that way...but yes i do realize there are always exceptions.

dude from what I've noteced all the slopestyle runs r pretty much the exact same as the other persons so it is about how the grab is held and how long and the amount of air cuz there is little to seperate style on rails
