Comp is this weekend coming up (march 6-7) and i've never really done a slopestyle event... I guess what tricks make a solid run??? and what is it really judges on???
..i mean it depends on how old you are and what kind of level the comp is. in general do the most technical tricks you can do cleanly and dont revert are the only things i can really tell you
Holding your grabs and makeing everything smooth helps too. First run just lay down a solid run of tricks that your comfortable with then step it up on the second
Diversity makes the best slope runs spin both ways, take off forward and switch, land forward and switch, try and do different grabs, on the rails try and do frontside and blindside and don't revert.
If your really comfortable on the jumps try and land spotting the next feature the judges like that kind of flow.
It really depends who the judges re. In a comp like x there are ski judges so they know about spinning both ways, grabbing etc. In a lot of low level comps, liek those at local mountains they are often run by people who snowboard and skiing just happens to be a category. In this case the judges don't know what to look for in terms of skiing and lookf or whatever looks the craziest (pencilied spins, backflips...). So determine whos running the comp and then set up your run based on that.
