Sliding rails w/o edges

the inside edge of my leading ski on rails is worn down a lot. barely there. i think its gotten down far enough that it no longer has contact with the rails when i slide them b/c tonight i slid a few rails and it was feeling really sticky. is sliding rails w/o an edge make it stickier or were the rails just sticky that night?

my edges are quarter circle shaped under my feet and pretty blunt all the way up. it's good like that.

i dont have any edge under my feet cause it all got ripped out and it makes me slide faster so i have n o clue why its sticky for you

no having no edges makes jibbing so great. i got so used to it that now that i bought "new" skis that have edges its taking some time to get back used to edges

My main park skis have NO edges at all.... straight wood on ice . yea its fucked up for hitting jumps and trying to carve switch but

for urban i love it . It makes such a smoother slide, no worrying about catching an edge . The best part is how its completely silent when you slide, it feels like gliding not grinding

and yeah it does make pretzels/sizzoring a bit harder but not too much

one day whe i was sitting at home sick i decided to rip the edges out of my old skis underfoot, and i melted some ptex in the gap and over the side wall.

best jib skis ever. the only thing is when i scissor to slow myself for pretzel or whatever it is basically ineffective. but for just straight up sliding, tons better
