It looks as if it is marketed mostly as a helmet-cam accessory. Helmet cams usually aren't that shaky in my opinion. After all, it is your head. If your head is unstable enough that you have to buy a gopro gimbal, your money is probably best spent at the doctors checking out your neck.
It's probably cheaper to jerry-rig a cheaper gimbal to fit your gopro. The $279 planned price seems kind of expensive to me. It's not the highest, but I think you'd be better off with your money elsewhere.
Also, we all know how most kickstarters and crowdfunding campaigns end...
