Sleep Scare

One morning recently I woke up and I saw my arm on my chest. When I tried to move it, it didn't budge. For a second I had no idea whose hand it was. So I jumped out of bed and tried to move it and it still wouldn't move. I was flailing it around and I couldn't feel a damn thing. It was way too early to take and crap like that, so I was thinking it had to be amputated or something. Feeling came back some 30 seconds later. Anyone else had the shit scared out of them with this?
 
it happens when you sleep funny on your ar,. its like extreme limb falling asleepness. My ears were like that when i came out of the woumb, because the umbilical chord had wrapped around my neck, strangling me. They were 75% sure i was going to be mentally retarded.
 
I've heard about that, sometimes when people wake up and that happens they think htey are being ubductied by aliens, heh noobs. But yeah theres nothing wrong with you . . . as far as I know.
 
haha yeah i know there's nothing wrong. i just was laying on my arm for so long it went dead for awhile. it was just weird, but now it's effing hilarious when i think about it.
 
to the first post: I laughed soooo hard when I read that because that happened to me the other day but luckily I was awake enough to not think it was someone elses

to the second post: were they right?
 
no they werent right. actually my childhood was full of mishaps. I was dropped on my head...twice. I fell of my couch onto a cactus, and I swallowed alot of things not meant for babies to swallow, like magnets and razorblades.
 
yeah my psych teacher was saying how sometimes when u wake up you can be totally paralyzed for a little bit. Cuz when ur asleep your major muscles are in a state of paralysis and sometimes u just have some trouble getting out of it.
 
hahah that shit happens to me all the time it used to scare me but now i think its kinda cool, when i lose feeling like that i always hit it on shit cause it doesnt hurt, yeah i know im kinda weird but whatever....

Anyway, I woke up with a wicked hangover once, and holy shit I thought I'd lost from my waist down. I couldn't feel my nuts, so I rolled on the floor and massaged them and got NOTHING. I thought I was Lance Armstrong, it was weird.
 
ya like once a week i wake up in the middle of the night and my arm is all numb feels like needles in it whene u try to move it

its just cuz when u sleep on ur arm u block the blood from going to ur arm properly and making it all numb and stuff
 
yeah i saw this thing on tv awhile back with this guy who would reularily wake up with temporairy full body parralisis, could even speek. thats scary shit
 
i hate it sometimes when you're waking up and you're still half asleep and your mind is awake but your body is paralyzed and you're struggling sooo hard to move and finally your body wakes up and your just harsh twitch haha
 
that happenes to me way to much. it happenes to my arm alot but one time it happened to my legs i woke up tried to stand up and instantly colapsed. scary shit
 
same thing happened to me about a year ago. I woke up and my arm was hanging off the side of the bed. I couldnt move it so I freaked out and flung my whole body so i could bring my arm onto my bed. my wrist smakced me in the face so hard. my nose was bleeding all over the place, i made one of my front teeth really loose and bruised the hell out of my lip. It was a fucking insane experience. its happened like 10 times since then but nothing as crazy as the first.
 
yea your arm just falls asleep. it happens to me like once a week. its kinda cool actually,you just have a dead weight hanging from ur shoulder. sometimes i bite my arm as hard as i can, its awesome. cant feel a thing
