I just got a 48hr sentence to my local jail for past dui and a two failure to appears. I have my jail dates set for next weekend where I show up at 3pm friday. Im not looking forward to this...

Anyone ever had this before? Is this just like drunk tank in a cell with other people like myself? Do I get showers? whats the food like? Im curious..... enlighten me! Anyways, pray I dont drop the soap
 
not that you care or anything, but the least respect i can possibly have for someone on this earth is a drunk driver

haha dude i thought the same thing.

But the creator of this thread must not be very smart. Drunk driving, then not even showing up to court... Personally 48 hours doesn't quite seem like enough time for you to learn your lesson. Hope Michael Vick isn't your cell mate. Prison can get very lonely I hear.

 
for me not being very smart... ill correct both of you in one shot. i said "jail" not "prison" in which there is a very big difference. but then again, im the one who isn't smart right? i think it was me being more irresponsible at a younger age than anything else but whatever. i did get more penalties with my jail time too if that makes you happy
 
sorry to tell you, but jail and prison both consist of people being locked behind bars because they broke the law. they are same
 
you guys need to get out more.. book smart vs. street smart

prison is hard time long sentencing larger institution. jail is minor evrything. you can go to a police station with a jail and get locked up...this does not mean you went to prison
 
Personally I'd rather mistake jail for prison than to deal with the financial and social costs of a DUI...

Idk.. my grandfather was side swiped, and seriously injured by a drunk driver 3 years ago. Maybe it's a personal thing...

But you'd have to be pretty retarded to get behind the wheel now with more than 2 or 3 beers in you (providing that you're over 21). Besides the fact that you put your safety as well as others at risk, the financial costs are staggering. As I'm sure you know, or are soon to know. Here in PA it's quite common for DUI offenders to go on Assigned Risk car insurance. Pay upwards of $6000 a year in insurance.

I guess you can be happy that nothing physically happened to you or anyone else. Hopefully you've learned you lesson. But i just can't understand why you wouldn't man up and go to court when your date was.

 
Agreed. You can out, smoke and get drunk but if you get in a car your a dumbass. Suck it up and admit you were wrong. Think of the people you could of killed. I have a cousin who was killed by a dumbass like you. And 48 hours is nothing in jail.
 
In my state 2-3 beers is over. If you feel anything you are over. If you want to avoid a DUI don't drink and drive. At .08 BAC you don't feel drunk
 
Where are you going to jail? where I live jail is really not bad at all. You have your own cell that you don't have to be in all day, 1common area to every two cells with cable and books, a gym, large common area with a kitchen and plenty of games and it is coed. The food is delivered from the hospital (pretty good).
 
Same. My cousin was killed by a drunk driver, and both of my grandmother's parents were killed by a drunk driver, leaving her, the oldest, to care for her 6 siblings. She was 19. 48 Hours in prison is fucking nothing compared to what people that have been hurt both mentally, and physically, go through. Fuck you.
 
You got drank alcohol and then drove. Then you missed your court date twice. And you're calling yourself smart?

The fact you failed to appear twice just shows how retarded you actually are. Not even to mention the fact you drove loaded. Like it was said above, have fun in jail.

that's kind of an inane statement to make. A drunk driver is worse than say.... Hitler? Or a pedophile?
