Sorry, I just need to be excited, and None of my friends care.

I just got some Ti's from a store on campus for $55! How fuckin cheap is that? SO sick. They are white and quality, and sound like heaven, And im using the included stencil to cover my walls. And how bout that warranty ? soooo fuckin fresh

I have companion 3's for my laptop, bose is sick. But im not paying 20000 bucks for headphones that aren't covered if I break them on a rail, ground, friends skull, etc.
 
If you think their sound is quality then you haven't heard much

There sure is a "lifetime warranty", too bad they don't respond to ANY of your emails when you try to redeem it. They're a shitty company, they fucked me over, I hate them.
 
Koss beats everything. Best sound ever, plus lifetime warranty. After what i've heard koss goes down to 15,000 hz, but SC only goes down to 20,000 hz.
 
Skullcandy looks better than everything, and if you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you ski well.
 
I love my Quiet Comforts, but the topic creator is right, I would never take them on rails or skiing for that matter.

Skullcandy is a good company for durable gear. And their warranty is the shit.
 
Im tired of every sayin omg bose is soooo much better in these threads, do you really care about that tiny bit better sound quality in a more expensive pair of headphone when your fuckin skiing? No, you dont, i doest matter, what matters is that skullcandy has good enough sounds, looks good, and is durable as fuck, when i take mine off at the end of the day and need to break the layers of ice of them theyr still in the same condition as new, they have lifetime warranties, what else could you ask for in headphones for skiing?

Bose headphones are actually pretty shitty. go to any high end audio forum or talk to anyone who knows shit about audio. Bose is all marketing, and mediocre quality at best. Skullcandy do sukc a lot worse though. Shitty ass audio quality, shitty quality in general. The warranty is the only good thing.

Sony (the hign end ones), Koss, Sennheiser, AKG, Audio Technica, Grado....now those are some real headphones.
 
Pros of SC = Looks sick, mediocer sound, & a "fashion trend"

Cons of SC = Terible sound, poor quality, poor customer service

SO in the end, you want the "look" and wana spend nothing on head phones (or for osme of their models a lot) go for it.

If your looking for quality and durability spend the extra few dollars and get a good pair of head phones.
 
I really dont think the sound is too horrible, sometimes the bass is not too good. The warrenty is really good, plus you cant beat the price. Happy your stoked though man.

i think the sound quality is great. even so, when youre listening to music through a beanie and flying down a mountain anyways, why the hell does it even matter?

the warranty is sick, the sound is shit. but y would u need go sound when ur skiing. i like mine for sking but i hate them when im not, plus the lowriders pretty much down stay on ur head.
 
The sponsor skiers and support our sport. The sound quality is actually really decent I think. My dad has some 130 dollar bose headphones from like 3 years ago and they sound just as good if not better. Great buy if your skiing. All you idiots that talk about justing on the bandwagon and trying to follow the trend need to shutty. If me buying skullcandy supports skiing in any way shape or form, im in.
 
I have lowriders and smokin buds.

The lowriders are sick looking and legit quality and fold nice

The smokin buds are the best in-your-ear headphones I've ever bought. They get really deep in there, don't fall out, and sound great and can go super-loud.

Also I'm supporting the ski industry
 
I have a few pairs of skullcandy's, the sound quality is pretty good, not the best but far from the worst, the price is decent, and the warranty on everything is great.

Plus they are a great company involved in all sorts of board sports so I like that too.
 
as long as you aren't a snob about headphones skull candies are bomb. people just think they are cool because they are too good for anything but the finest bose products, which someone else already pointed out is really just marketing anyway. I can pretty much guarantee that you cant find another pair of $25 headphones that are better than the icons...
 
o man bose isssss sooo much nicer,,,but wicked expensive. my in ears are the best sounding most cimfy headphone i've ever worn. but i got them as a gift or else i too would rock skullz
 
i work at best buy and get a discount for all of them- skuccrushers are the best by far- bose is way overpirced for lesser compenentry
 
ive been rockin sc for a while now and no breakages yet. if they do then i'll get a free pair on the siiiick warranty.
 
yeah my friend bought some skullcandy headphones and a personally wasnt to impressed with the sound quality although it was cool that they vibrated like mad when you put on a crazy beat that had lots of bass
 
honestly, anyone who knows two shits about audio and has decent ears would know that skull candy is absolute shit. The sound is so muddy and unclear. Try on a pair of decently priced sonys or sennheisers. Blows that over-marketed shit out of the water. When I say decent I mean 40-60 bucks. FUck skullcandy.
 
So are honestly listening for that absolute clearness in sound quality when your listening through your beanie skiing going down the mountain?
 
i'm not stoked on skullcandy. i got proform tuneups. and i cut into the plastic casing from the top and, low and behold, i cut through the wire. what the fuck! what company puts the wiring at the top of the case, every other company packages it at the bottom. thanks skull candy. oh and the lack of a mute button kinda sucks. now i'm just buying some decent ear buds.
 
Amen. Skullcandy makes sick looking headphones, but i've gone through 2 pairs of smokin buds and some lowriders, they all broke within 2 months, the first pair of buds were broken in the packaging. AKG makes headphones on par with bose, and they look dope. Buy a pair, you'll thank yourself later.
 
You obviously know nothing about sound, or waves in general. The human ear is only capable of hearing sound from 50hz to 20, 000hz and your capabilities on the high end diminish as you get older and lose your hearing. Saying that Koss goes "down" (it should be up) to 15, 000hz would make them shittier headphones than skullcandy's 20 000hz. The average adult can only really hear up to 15, 000hz (I'm 16 and I can only hear up to 16 000) so it shouldn't really make a difference. And I agree that skullcandy is a shitty company who makes shitty products that sound bad and break and then won't honor their warranty.

also all you guys saying that skullcandys break...the break because you broke them skiing or something. unless you have a legit reason to why they broke like i do, my inkds broke because of improper packagin so i sent them out then i got a new fixed pair in about a week... so dont say the skullcandys are easy to break, cuz they arent unless you fall on them, which should not happen when your skiing because you should be wearing a helmet when your skiing and its impossible to wear a helmet with any of the big headphones like my gis, which by the way are the rasta ones and they are sick, but anyways ITS YOUR FAULT WHEN THEY BREAK BECAUSE YOU SHOULDNT BE SKIING WITH THEM ANYWAYS, THATS WHY YOU GET A 5 PAIR AT WALMART, becaus esound quality doesnt matter when your skiin, because your constantly talking to your friends and you can hear sounds all around you anyways

mine didnt break from skiing, they broke from listening to them during class, i never had any during the winter. I know, you may say i was being reckless with them, but thats just how i am.
 
i love my skull candy TI's.. but jsut a trick to get cheap ones..go on ebay.. i got mine brand new for 25$
