not but [img] i guess

for me it's a close match, lowriders are my favourite SC headphones but i like as well how clean WESC look... i don't know buy maybe SC are more skierfriendly and resistant, if you use them on the slopes

I didn't even mention skullcandies because they suck ... only reason I would get some is if you plan to ski/do sports with em ... they have some kind of "extreme sports" warranty, plus they're somewhat cheap.

I've had a pair of both, and well comparing them is silly, the wescs are in a league way above that of the skullcandys, they are well worth the extra money, the quality of the way they are built and the sound is FAR better. however, you could probably get headphones made by a headphone company that would look as good and sound even better for less.

This. I have Oboes and they simply rock. Sound quality wise, they are better than skullcandies. And it's 100% sure that they won't break as fast

i want those wesc's...

i have those lowriders, they really dont sound that great, they just have the amazing warranty so you can go skiing with them and not worry if they break. they even like to read the story of how you crashed and they fell apart.

wesc hands down! the sound quality will make you change your mind about skullcandy for ever. plus your skullcandies will probably break in less than a month

the only problem i have had with skullcandys breaking is when i slam my head which has happened quite a bit now

wesc are probably better... but skullcandies have the sickest warranty out there, i go skiing smash em up and get a new pair 50% off. but dont buy lowriders, they suck ass, get some double agents or icons

i dont usually go skiing with headphones and have never worn my lowriders on the slopes, but im on my third pair already. theyve never broken but the speakers go out on one side, or the cord will need to be held a certain way for sound to travel through... they blow

to whomever said that wesc sound worse... they need to realize that the actually have a much larger range in sound than the lowriders and will sound much better. you probably havent ever listened to wesc headphones.

im ordering some oboes this week for sure and getting rid of these skullcandies for good

Well, what do you plan on using them for?

If you're just looking for headphones to listen to music and wear around, and are looking for quality, i'd say get the wesc. Although i would actually say just look into some real headphone companies and forget about both those companies if you're looking for some well built, long lasting headphones. I personally use the sennheiser hd 280 pro for editing and what not and i'm really loving them. Built so well and the sound quality is amazing.

If you're going to be pretty much just skiing with them, them i'd say go for the skullcandy icon/recruit. I gave my old pair to a friend of mine who rides, but in total it's been almost 2 seasons of use with them and they're still going fine. Plus, they're dirt cheap. I picked up 2 pairs for last season for $25 shipped. I'd say its not really worth spending the money on those bigger headphones for skiing, i think they're much more awkward for skiing with.

Get some Sennheisers or Grados or something from someone who knows how to make headphones, Shure make great in-ear headphones too although there's lots of good quality products out there rather than the overpriced fashion statements such as Skullcandy and Wesc. Although atleast Skullcandy puts money into the sport.
