Skull Candy ICON II why wont they last for more than a month?

I just sent back three pairs of Skull Candy Icon II, two pairs because the right ear bud shorted out and one pair because they broke in my avy backpack next to my shovel head. I love the Icons cuz they ride sweet under a helmet and they thump but dammit build them to last. Anyone have problems with their ICONS?

I've had the same problem they haven't seemed to last me for more than a year. They are probably just sensitive to the cold weather.

Solution - find cheap icons on here and buy em and warranty them when they break.

well you just dont throw them in your bag, where there will be a high risk of the icons being crushed. mine have lasted 2 years no problems

I have a pair of old headphones that I got with a walkman sometime in the 90s and have used them for skiing the past three years and they still work perfect.

90s headphone > skullcandy

yes, the cords on the icon 2/soft sucks ass. seriously skulcandy needs to go back to their original cord definitely has less problems. I'm not complaining because having shit short out emans a new pair of headphones everymonth, but it's such a hassle.
