i am 5 foot 10 inches and 230... should i get the candide 180 or the skogen 176??? i want to get the skogens cause they are 75 cheaper... is that the right choice????
I just demoed the 03' skogens and the absolutly dominated the intire mountain, the center mount makes it a bit less of an all-mountain ski but it was compairable to my 1080s. I didnt get to ride it in the park but all Line skis are made with the park in mind so I'm sure it kicks ass there too. and the only thing that broke during the day was the cheap rossignol binding mounded on them.
why does everyone always say shit about line? have you all tried them or just going along with what others say? i have the '01 skogens and think theyre great. delaming a bit but all skis do taht
Line compromises some of its protective graphics shit to give the ski extra performance. The skis might delam, but no more than the candides will, plus the skogens have equal tip tail hieght, so u can land hard in crap snow, and still stick it!
people talk shit about line becuz they haven't been great in the past. most people dont have delam problems with dynastars, just preassure cracks. i would highly recomend the candides, but i havent ridden the new lines. candides are cheap and one of the best skis u can buy.
No, you don't get it. You may love your lines and they may be wonderful for you, but for a heavier person like myself they are WAY too soft. They are WAY too soft for a lot of people. Once you get to a point in your skiing you can handle any ski and your gonna stomp it no matter what, but when you are learning you want the stiffness trust me.
For a heavier guy your gonna want the support. Get the candides. I weigh 190 and could easily go to a lil bit softer ski so the candide shouls be perfect for you.
ANdyes all you line hardcores, jason is the shit, I have skied on line skis. Cool concepts, genius marketing but they just arent made for heavvier people. It's fine, the majority of the ski world isn't all that huge.
Go with what you like. I know Line has had some durability problems but their still good skis. Maybe next year they won't have all the breakage problems. Remember to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.
