skodeo=?

Ahhhh! I am so sick of this. People do a trick a little bit differently and they think they have a whole new trick. My friend pointed out something interesting to me the other day. Most of teh time people don't choose to throw tricks a different way, they just do it by accident. There is nothing special about this.

Does anyone have a video that they can upload of this? Is skogen the only one that can do this? I can do flats but not rodeos, but i would like to learn this cause it seems like not to many people can do it.

 
Obviously skogen doesnt think its a new trick, he just thinks its a new way to do it, thats why he left the odeo part in it. This does 2 things for him, it may make judges in a comp think that his way is harder and since hes one of the only or only peeps doin it they may score him higher. Since it sounds like a trademarked trick, it will get him more play, may it be in magazines, other writers or between freinds, basically it will make him more popular.

 
this has nothing to do with skodeos, but what's a dinner roll? i know moseley can do them but have no clue what it is.

 
I would never tarnish my good name by tagging it onto a trick unless it was something completely new. I don't want to be the asshole confusing all the people with multiple trick variation names.

yeah it's hard enough to figure out the difference between each trick is now, if we start naming each variation it'll be even harder.

 
Just call it rodeo... Skodeo are different from rodeo and flat spin cause you spin 180 before starting the rodeo flatspinnish motion.

 
I really think that NO ONE on this forum knows what a rodeo is.

There are very few rodeos in ski movies and the person who does them the most was Phillou in 13 and Global Storming. A SKODEO AND A LINCOLN LOOP 180, OR 360 ARE NOT RODEOS!!!

ha ha.. and when johney mosely does it, it becomes a dinner role.... stupid rodeo flips.

 
he calls it a scodeo cause he can't do either a flat spin or a rodeo properly tons of pros do this and it pisses me off... if they don't do it properly they act like they meant to and decide o call it their own

what the hell is that.... this is freeskiing... the beauty of it is that there is no properly. how ever you want to do it is the way you do it. there are general catagories of tricks, but they aren't set in stone. do what ever you want... as long as it is styley, and feels good, who cares what it is called, or if it is exactly the same as some other pro did it. there is no point. we aren't clones all doing the same thing with the same style.... that is arials. skogans skodeos look way cool... they are super smooth... who cares if it is just a rodeo.. or a flat spin.... or what ever... it is just a sweet assed flippy spinny thing.... and that is all that maters. there is no right or wrong in this sport - that is the beauty of it, and why it is FREE. later

skogan didnt name it himself. i was talking to him last year and he said he just started doing rodeos and people just started calling them skodeos, cuz that was the only trick he could do.

 
yea people at squaw started calling it that cause he did them so much

a rodeo is always a flip. RODEO = backflip with a spin. backflip 180,360,540,720 ect there all rodeos as long as it has a backflip in it!needed to say that to clarify to all the dumbasses who dont know what one is! a skodeo is just a catchy name he wanted to add
 
i really dont think the person who named it was trying to say he made a new trick. he just changed the way he did it, looked differet, so just changed up the name a little
